Mopar, you're a Kroil man! Good stuff, hard to find around here. Like WD40 on steroids, plus it has that Teflon or whatever in it.
I have a coupon to order two big cans online, probably only way to get it. Would be nice if local NAPA stocked it.
Oh man, I LOVE Kroil! It really does work! I use it for everything. It is hard to get, there's a larger Napa store for commercial trucks, about a 60 mile round trip. They charge 20 bucks for the 13 oz can

I'm having good luck with Ace Rust Stop

Me too. Picked up a couple cans at local hardware store and liked it. Smoothed out nicely
You just have to be a fanatic about prep as seeing it peel off really sucks. I've been restoring similar and smaller equipment for a long time.
Mopar, someone taught you some good skills and habits, nice to see something "done right".
Even if you say you don't know what you're doing...
I'd like to be so dumb. ;)

Being ecological with all these cleaners is difficult. I go through a lot of oil diapers but then that's just crap in the land fill too.
I sure know not to get it in my dirt. Even by the barn, someday horses will likely be kept here again and at least on my watch, I don't want to give
them toxic stuff to walk on.

Oil goes to recycle, old gas goes on my burn pit, in very small quantities..., but hard not to stop the drips, the grease oozing out the other side onto the ground, etc etc

And what is your disposal plan? I say that jokingly but if you were a real garage you'd probably have to have one.

You did all the work on your tractor, I got a 2k bill from the repair shop for fixing my new to me Super A up to snuff. By doing this yourself you are not only having fun,
thankfully entertaining and teaching us and saving a whole ton of money.

Great job. Nice to see the old sister's getting some attention. I'm sure you will get many years of use out of her.

Agreed. Rebuilding something with competence and care, especially something with a family history is not only admirable on a historical basis but a memory to those who owned it before. Those things are tickets to heaven.

When you get the spindle bolts at the proper tension, make sure to bend the tab washers up on the nuts so they don't back off on you and chew up the new bushings.
You are doing some very nice work there!

That's impressive!! First class job.
I like to turn my ties around so the sharp cut off edge doesn't cut you the next time you run your hand in there; maybe you can cut them more flush than I can.
Looks like a wiring 101 course, love the made in USA cables and quality connectors.

There's actually a neat little tool that tensions and cuts wire ties flush, cable tie cutter.jpg

I will bend that washer up to secure the nut, I wanted to drive it around a little bit once I got it running so everything can settle. If that makes sense.

Today was a good day. The new 16" rims arrived and they were already powder coated white so I think I'm going to leave them that way. If you look at the Oliver industrial models they were yellow with white wheels :) I got the new MATCHING 3 groove tires mounted as well! I took it for a spin, went through all the gears and everything seems to work real nicely. I am happy.

It sure would look better with the correct grill. :)

I put this old back blade that was sittin in the field to give it a little load. It seems to pull okay!

Notice my new little manual adjustable top link. Lol. I've been spoiled by the hydraulics on the M7060. There is a gentleman in Texas who has a factory Oliver remote valve that bolts on the side cover of the hydraulic reservoir by the seat. It's tempting to add that valve but the price reflects the rarity of it.

I have some odd and ends to finish up, I'll update as I go. :) I'd like to tighten up the steering linkage, replace the tie rod ends and have the hydraulic steering rams rebuilt. They leak and move around more than I like.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It is appreciated.
