Will look like this, enjoy.

2011 i think, without looking. It is fairly new in this picture.
Bought it for my geothermal install, but use the BH a lot for stuff. I have 18" bucket, didnt want to spend money for 2, thought it would be a good size since my trenches were 36" wide. A narrower bucket would be good for some other trenching projects.

I've read don't use a rear remote while BH is on, can damage the BH loader valves. Edit, see that was already mentioned.

Only had it off once. Have the dealer show you the removal and reconnect. Its not hard, mine is a bear because one pin hole seems to not be aligned and one pin is a little hard getting out.

You will love it.

I had that alignment problem when I got my 5740. Took about 0.035" off the pin diameter and now it goes. You can do it carefully with a bench grinder or take it to a machine shop where it will take 10 minutes.

Thanks, never considered that. I just greased it real good when i put it in.

I just couldn't get one pin to go in. I spent a bunch of time trying to realign the subframe, which was brand new, finally just cut the pin down and end of problem.

That’s beautiful! I want my tractor to look like that. Being a part time landscaper and owning 10 acres, do you guys find this to be a no brained of a purchase. I don’t think I can justify a mini. Plus, I am unable to haul 2 pieces of equipment to a job whereas I can haul multiple implements. Grapple / hoe combo would be great.

Anywho, another basic question. So these hows have their own plumbing and don’t use the remotes? I have 3 remotes on my back end and the WR long kit for 3rd function up front.

Oh yeah, anyone have an idea how much insurance is for digging? My current insurance doesn’t cover it and I’d have to pay more if I went this route. Just curious what people are paying insurance wise to use these on a job.

These plug into a Power Beyond port, the plumbing comes with the install kit if you get that. The only other thing I use that port for is a log splitter. The BH had been a great tool for me, so much so that I kept it when I sold my MX5100 and had a subframe installed on my new tractor. But yes it is slow compared to a mini ex.

Ok cool, did you, or do you have a third function up front for loader attachments? Does this plumbing kit work with it?

Obviously I’d like to use a hoe with my front grapple. Dig something out, spin around and use the grapple.

Also, I agree a mini would be stronger and faster. With that said, is this unit so slow it’s painful to use? Or is it still really productive?

I think I’m at the realization that a mini doesn’t make sense for me. I already have the tractor and can bring multiple implements to complete an entire job as appose to a mini I would just be doing one part of a job. Also, I’d really have to be conscious what mini to get to stay within weight limitations. If I was a full time digger, I’d be upgrading the entire fleet of machines etc. trucks, trailers .....

I just like to hear that this is a capable hoe to accomplish things with.

Now, I don’t do this, but am also curious. Would this be strong enough to rip out say a sidewalk? Driveway?. I see lots of people doing stumps with various times.

I’m just looking for good tasks this hoe can be used for efficiently
