Question about tying down and didn't want to start another thread. I was brought up that the implement/car/tractor should be "stretched' if possible, from the frame to the trailer in an X pattern. I haul small SUVs and small pickups where it is a pain to hook to the frame usually. I am very interested in these but am concerned that the vehicle will then bounce with it's suspension along with the trailer suspension, creating a pogo-stick! Am I freaking over something that would be negligible? Thanks.

Here's one I saw yesterday doing 65 Mph down the highway. Only thing holding it all together is the center strap over the top bales squeezing it all together.

A suspension is designed to let the vehicle move while the wheels/tires stay planted, that's kind of it's whole point for existing. If you strap the wheels down properly, they are secure & the suspension does it's thing as it was designed to.Many, many people tie down with axle straps with no worries.
And what's wrong with that? Other than it's not strapped down properly yet? Given it's still being loaded ill assume it's gonna get strapped down next. Hardly hauling something wrong in my book.We carry 53 on the truck and about 120 on the trailer just me and my wife , but getting old so we tried it this way last yearView attachment 539888

Ah... Still sound like a smart move to me (says the guy with a badge back). It still seems to me you failed to fail for the fail towing thread. Not sure if that counts as enough of a fail itself. ;-)Unloading we got hay delivered instead of picking it up in the field it cost a little more but alot less work for me . We get 1500 small bales a year. Those large bales are 3x3x7 about 700 pounds
At a boat launch in Thailand yesterday and took this picture. Not towing wrong, but thought you all might enjoy the pics.

She is no worse than some dudes you see. Good for her if she's comfortable. That don't mean I gotta look though. Some people should not be wearing bikinis.
The beach looks nice.
