Back then a lot of farmers bought them to replace their horse or mule, so it was quite a step up. I always get a kick out of driving past the Amish farms up north of me; 80 years ago farmers were buying tractors and adapting their horse drawn equipment; now I see 3 pth 4 bottom plows and other implements adapted to pull behind the horses.

I don't know, I was wondering that as I posted. I have never seen it working, only laying on it's side at the farm.

How long did it take to look like that ? There is some nice soil in ME. More rocks and trees than farm land. Aroostook County lots of potatoes:thumbsup:
