Two Wires in My Cab L5740...what are they?

/ Two Wires in My Cab L5740...what are they? #41
My lights came in today and I mounted one pair on the back of my L6060 which already had work lights on it. It was really very simple. In this first pic, I have removed the factory light and i'm holding the bracket for the new light.

In this second pic, I have attached the new bracket to the existing factory bracket with the bolt supplied with the new light. We did have to enlarge the hole on the factory bracket slightly with a drill for the new bolt to fit.

Next, I cut the connector off of the factory light and attached it to the new light.

The rest of these pics are of the new light installed. The only thing wrong is that when I turned them on, I realized they are 'spot beam' instead of 'flood' lights. There are so many similar options when ordering these lights that I missed that one detail. I'll give them a try next week and see if I like the spot, or I may order the floods.

Yes, you can....I said that earlier in this thread you can swap them out. It was post #20 as a direct reply to you.

Here is the completed project of me swapping out my factory flashers for LED rear lights. Af first I used 20 watt cube lights but switched them out and went with round 30 watt round LED lights. Turned out great. I was able to smash the wires in there without having to cut the connectors off.

I had one of my employees install the lights on my L5740. We did as you suggested and mounted them where the flashers were. And he used the simple 'two prong' connectors shown in the pic.IMG_4979(1).JPG

Also, here is a pic of the 'factory' switch from Messicks.

Cool..looks like the only thing we did different was that I mounted my lights on the bottom of the bracket and you on the top.. Easy project.
