I am wanting some dollies for my implements to sit on so they can be moved around the building easily. I am also wanting to work on my welding skills so I'll be welding them up. My question is does anyone have a strength chart for box tubing so I know what size tubing to get?

And if anyone has any photos to share that would be awesome also. I am looking to build some for box scrape, carry all, rear blade, FEL bucket and grapple.

I don’t have a strength chart (built all mine with 2x4’s). For shapes a carry all just needs a flat platform with wheels (like a furniture dolly). For my rear blade I used a ‘t’ shape with 3 wheels and blade guides on the top of the ‘T’ to stop the blade from falling off and a vertical section on the base of the ‘T’ to support the attachment point. For pic ideas bxpanded has some good designs. Don’t skimp on the wheels.

I built dollies for all my attachments using 1/8" x1.5x1.5 angle iron. make sure you get beefy enough caster because they roll around better if you do. The heaviest thing was a 850# ballast box and a 750# box blade. They still are a bear to push around.

I wouldn't worry about brakes on them. They are pretty stationary with all the weight on them.

True... I still put one of the four on my wheeled pallets as a brake. Just in case for some unforeseen reason. All four would be needlessly expensive.

You wouldn't be able to buy much steel tubing and casters for the price of these. Could use a pair of them in tandem if weight was a concern.

I used 2x4's, 1/2" plywood, and screws to make the proper sized rectangles for each implement. HD has some nice 3" steel wheels that I screwed into the bottom for about $5 each and I can roll all my implements around my shop (concrete floor). I also bought a 2 car mover dollies from HF and attached a 2x4 across them to make a dolly for my tiller. They all work great, but will only work on concrete or asphalt.

These are a little different might spark an idea. They slide into the square tubing frame on my chipper.
