Don- I do not know what this guy would do after catching a rabbit??? It is reported that he chases cats. He definitely wanted a piece of that squirrel taunting him from the bird feeder area. I have more questions than answers.
I have lots of questions about his auto-immune disorder and if one follows the holistic treatment it is essentially what you are posting about- an essentially plant based diet.
It will turn out as usual that the dogs will be treated better than their owners.
It is a bad mistake to teach a large breed, big pawed dog "shake" and "other paw." It's the dog training the owner once they figure "the trick" part out. And a big paw can cause injury. I/We "de-train" that behavior. Training initiated as well as face staring at the dinner table.
