B2301 & B2601 Stiff HST Pedal

I am thinking of upgrading from my BX2360 to a B2601 and test drove one at my dealer and was surprised to feel how stiff the HST pedal is especially in reverse. It felt like I was trying to drive it with the brake still on (it wasnt).

Do those of you who own either models find the same thing a very stiff HST pedal?

Is there a way to loosen the HST pedal?

Just looking to see if those who own one of these tractors noticed the same thing.

It probably needs an adjustment and the zerk greased. Being "stiff" is not normal operation.

When there new everything is tight after 500 hours my l3800 range shifter is smooth now

Thanks. This model unlike my BX2360 does not have the zerk fitting. I suspect it has something to do with the HST pedal damper and they way the pedal linkage and damper is arranged.

Looking at the parts list for the BX and B2650 they use the same basic damper but the linkage is different for the B2301 and B2601.

The BX and B2650 damper is on the same side as the HST pedal..... the B2301 and B2601 damper is on the opposite side of the pedal and has some extra linkages involved in the way it is configured.

I bet most B2301 and B2601 owners who may not have owned other models are even aware that the HST pedal is so stiff when compared to the oher BX and B versions.

But.... I could be wrong.

Well, PSD....you are already ahead of me. Since I've never had the stiff pedal problem, I didn't even know there is a "damper" somewhere. But the models I have owned did have a grease zerk. Hum-m-m- Come on B2601----B2301 owners........

I have a B2601 and reverse is definitely a bit stiff. However, I haven't driven any other model so I just figured all Kubotas drove like that?

Same here. My perspective doesn't mean much since I have no comparison.
