Good morning! 57˚ South wind hitting 83˚ sunny.

Got it David. Key remember question: Where is it buried? WHere, 6 Feet SOuth.

Wingspread, just a few more days and there will be sugarless dewberry cobbler on the table. No noxious weeds to deal with here.

I finished trimming all branches and trees and vines encroaching on out buildings and in return had sore arms last night. Looking good around here but not near as good as Drew's place.

Morning and best wishes to all;
Had an interesting long weekend, took a bus trip to Washington D.C. it was an interesting experience. First time I had been there since the 60's
other then to just drive thru or around. The trip heading south was nice watching the gradual greening up and the appearances of blossoms and blooms
was enjoyable. Then the sight seeing in DC was interesting and we had good weather for Friday and Saturday. But the traffic and number of people was
just simply unreal, no way I could live in that area. Then Sunday morning was a trip to Arlington the weather sure changed then rain about 11 windy and cooler,
then got headed north about 3 PM for the long trip home. Left all the greenery and flowers behind and headed for sleet and ice at home got to the parking lot around
2 AM and a quarter of an inch of ice to scrape before heading the pickup home.
Glad I didn't have to drive especially the last half of the trip down the traffic was ridiculous and the around the DC and Dulles area, what a nightmare of roads traffic
and people. We didn't get to see a lot that I would like to have, may have to repeat the trip again but I'm not sure how we will do the transportation, I was not impressed with the tour bus seating, not very comfortable, of course it has been more then 40 years since I was on a bus but they seemed more comfortable in my memory of course I was a tad bit narrower
back then :eek:

Up early this morning, have a couple of presentations at work, first at 5am, than again at 8am. I remember now why I don't do this series very often. Years ago, I had to be up at 4am often and could sleep deep right until then. Not so much anymore, probably laid awake from 2-4..

Bought some 1 1/2" wooden wheels and axles last week, grand daughter and I cut some 2x2s and drilled some holes, sanded a bit, installed wheels and now have a bunch of wooden cars. We'll sand some more and then paint them when we get a warmer day... send a text to another daughter, asking if the other grand daughter was interested in making some wooden cars. Got a text back wanting to video chat, technology is nice.

Hawkeye, have fun with the wooden cars, are you going to downhill race them?

having awful time getting my tomato seedlings outside. They won't harden, unhappy with two hours of sun, my neighbor killed the three I gave him with five hours of sun. So I'm leaving them by this full afternoon sun rear glass door and trying to give them some filtered UV.
It's like they are getting microwaved...

The low this morning was 28*, yesterday was mostly sunny but with a 30+ wind all day. It blew in about 2 inches of snow overnight. It's supposed to clear up later in the day, with a high in the low 40's but still windy.

I was going to do some work on the driveway and the loading ramp to day. It will be the end of the week before I can think about doing it again.
Not much else going on for today.

Hope everyone has a nice January 107th like toppop said.

CWB.

Good morning to all! 45 this morning, still going up to near 70 despite the wind going to be howling. They say gusts 55-70 again. Right now about 25-20 sustained, occasional gust at 40. A few dust gusts. The sunrise had a real orange haze to it because of a couple fires on the western side of the state. Awful fire going in Oklahoma.

RIP, be careful tearing down that ceiling. You never know what might come out at you, or what might fall down on you. Just be careful!:shocked:

RNG, so sorry to hear about the motor. Maybe won't be that bad once you tear into it. Hopefully not too much work.:(:thumbdown:

David, CONGRATS! Sounds real official..WH6SFO..:cool2::drink:

Drew, sounds like those tomato plants are just spoiled, like our teenagers today....just want to stay inside and play:laughing:

Don, did you get a change to check on the ceiling boards? No rush, whenever.

Prayers out for those needing. Everyone have a great day!

No racing planned for the cars, but with cousins, anything is possible. If they start doing that, will look into getting the kits to make the racers..

We don't do much gardening (a few things in raised bed), but never had issues with tomatoes... I remember Dad bragging on how big his plants were so wife picked up a couple from nursery in town and planted them. When he saw them, they were bigger than his.. told him later in summer they were store bought.
