What Makes Kubota Better Than Kioti

The question is biased to begin with. It should be: which tractor is better, if either, Kubota or Kioti?
Dealer network or local dealer could be a factor but doesn't have to be. If someone buys a tractor of any color or brand because of a dealer close by or because their dealer has a good reputation or offers a better price for comparable features then that is a personal choice.
However, what one buys can be motivated by if one plans to service their own equipment during and/or after warranty is up.
I'd rather have an excellent piece of equipment than something that has an amazing warranty. If the tractor never needs to go back to the selling dealer for service OR warranty work- all the better. Less to no downtime fixing things that could have been better built at the manufacturer's facilities.

I have used Kubota's from time to time. I've owned two problem free Kioti's over the last 9 years and 1500 hours between them. I vote for Kioti, not because it's better or worse than Kubota- because it does what I ask it to and is essentially problem free. I don't need insurance to cover something because I don't finance my tractor purchases. Cash for tractor, bought to own.

Sorry Mate but I have to disagree... and the reason is that I live in a 'microcosm', if you will. Tasmania is an island and very rural/agricultural at that. Yes, we have access to mainland Australian dealers/suppliers, but at a time & shipping disadvantage. We're also a small population State and, believe me, word of mouth travels faster than you can blink.

Right now you can drive around the State and tell certain regions by the colour and age of the tractors. Red (CASE, McCormick, MF & Fiat) held sway for over 25 years and it all came down to the support that the owners received from the dealership (yes, there's only one - for each colour - on this island). Green (JD as opposed to Claas & Fendt) has taken over for service and support, especially in the field, and that is what reputations are built on.

My little 'hobby farm', bare bones tractor gets the same attention from the single JD dealership that the 'big boys' gets.

So, put aside "What makes 'X' better than 'Y'" as that will come out in the wash of manufacture standards. Company and, ultimately, your local dealership (of any colour) makes one tractor better than the others.

I agree with Wagtail in regards to dealer support.

I agree with Coyotemachine in regards to warranty. If I buy a quality product warranty is irrelevant.

In today's Internet world availability of parts rules. In my very limited need for parts I have relied on Messick's. They are in Pennsylvania. I am in Missouri. I'll never shadow their door. :)

I wonder the same things about dealerships as you do about warranty. If the tractor design is good, it may never see the dealership again.
If it is bad, take it back exactly once. So why does it matter?

Japanese quality is way better than anything else I own. Only two things in my yard out of all my vehicles, big trucks and atv's that don't aggravate me are my Kubota and the Toyota engine in my wood splitter.

The gap is closing when looking at any type of product, regardless of brand. Technology is easier and cheaper for any company to invest in, which has almost leveled the playing field.

I own a machine shop and 80% of our business is dedicated to building components for aircraft. Not so many years ago, we would have laughed at the thought of a country like India building parts for our commercial and military airplanes. Guess what folks, it's happening. They now employ the same technology as we do. Building a quality tractor in Korea, India, China, etc. is completely within reason.

For the record, I own Kubota and John Deere products primarily based on the dealer network and incredible parts support, not because they necessarily build the best products.

1. Name recognition.

2. Resale value (in case you ever sell or trade)

3. Parts availability

4. Availability of accessories.

5. KTAC

6. Finance options.

7. 40 plus years doing primarily compact tractors.

8. Proven reliability.

9. You only save 10% on the initial sales price even after adding all the options to equal the features.

10. Kubota lift ratings are conservative. Less machine damage and safer for operators.

Like asking, what makes Snap-On Tools or Mac, better than the tools sold at HF (or Princess Auto in Canada)? In many cases, the 1/2" wrench will do the exact same job.

Or what makes the Lincoln/Miller Welder better than the Everpower ones?

Its 20 mig to a kubota dealer and 100 mi to a kioti dealer. That made kubota better for me
