The question is biased to begin with. It should be: which tractor is better, if either, Kubota or Kioti?
Dealer network or local dealer could be a factor but doesn't have to be. If someone buys a tractor of any color or brand because of a dealer close by or because their dealer has a good reputation or offers a better price for comparable features then that is a personal choice.
However, what one buys can be motivated by if one plans to service their own equipment during and/or after warranty is up.
I'd rather have an excellent piece of equipment than something that has an amazing warranty. If the tractor never needs to go back to the selling dealer for service OR warranty work- all the better. Less to no downtime fixing things that could have been better built at the manufacturer's facilities.
I have used Kubota's from time to time. I've owned two problem free Kioti's over the last 9 years and 1500 hours between them. I vote for Kioti, not because it's better or worse than Kubota- because it does what I ask it to and is essentially problem free. I don't need insurance to cover something because I don't finance my tractor purchases. Cash for tractor, bought to own.
Sorry Mate but I have to disagree... and the reason is that I live in a 'microcosm', if you will. Tasmania is an island and very rural/agricultural at that. Yes, we have access to mainland Australian dealers/suppliers, but at a time & shipping disadvantage. We're also a small population State and, believe me, word of mouth travels faster than you can blink.
Right now you can drive around the State and tell certain regions by the colour and age of the tractors. Red (CASE, McCormick, MF & Fiat) held sway for over 25 years and it all came down to the support that the owners received from the dealership (yes, there's only one - for each colour - on this island). Green (JD as opposed to Claas & Fendt) has taken over for service and support, especially in the field, and that is what reputations are built on.
My little 'hobby farm', bare bones tractor gets the same attention from the single JD dealership that the 'big boys' gets.
So, put aside "What makes 'X' better than 'Y'" as that will come out in the wash of manufacture standards. Company and, ultimately, your local dealership (of any colour) makes one tractor better than the others.
