Good Luck with Fidelity... something as simple as a roll over proved anything but... it took 6 months to get it all straight for about a dozen employees.

Can you expand on the Pros of leaving Utah and moving to Idaho...

Only ask because of genuine interest... have friends that moved to both States and all really like where they are.

Only one had problems in Sun Valley Idaho... his bride hated every minute of winter and said no more... they are now divorced and she moved back to California... he did not.

All the best and look forward to your posts!

I agree Jack. Had my cell phone for a couple years before I taught myself to pull it out for pics. :)

I was better at taking pics in the mid 70's than I am now, and I did not have time back then. I am always way behind in pics, between my property build here and documenting the refurbish of a 2003 Yukon XL Denali I am about 6 months behind on pics.

Lynn, I am in for your adventure, the geography of your area interests me. If my wife could stand the temps there, I would already be there.

Making another run today and taking my Harley up tomorrow after church. While up there today I will install my mailbox..

I notice you are saying Up There. What is your new elevation? I apologize if you have already stated it. Living at 0 feet (sea level) myself, anyone living in the mountains intrigues me.

There are a few reasons to leave.

1st, my wife wants out of here for reasons that do not matter to this forum.

2nd, home prices are great for sellers. I did make very good money selling. 90% is equity.

3rd, most important to me, better air quality. Asthma has been getting the best of me the last couple years.

4th, I have a brother that I have not been around much for 40 years. He is 6-7 miles away from the new place.

5th, another good one. :D To go ride my snow machine is minutes from my house in some great snow. Look on "YOU TUBE" for Bloomington Lake Idaho snowmobile. You'll see some great country and even better powder.

6th, I wanted more land and it was much more affordable there than here.

As you can see there are several reasons and more.

That is what a wood stove is for. My wife doesn't like the cold either, but she likes standing by a hot wood stove.

In general I always refer to north as up and south as down.

My elevation here in Utah is about 4600'. Where I'm going is close to 6000' so I guess it is up.

Still no good reason for the lack of pictures. I did get my tractor mail box put up. So when I finally get around to pictures I'll snap one of that.

Yes... it is an amazing time to sell in demand locations... plus you really have put your heart into the place and I'm sure the buyers zeroed in on that... so many today want a turnkey purchase...

Part of my reason for asking is financial... comparing taxes, cost of living between Utah and Idaho...

A lot of my law enforcement friends have retired to Idaho and Nevada... plus a couple of Docs also retired around Sand Point and Saw Tooth range?

St George region is also a popular destination of those I know.

I planted my flag in Washington... mostly because I fell in love with the beauty but I often have to question if it is really that much less expensive than California... plus WA is on a huge growth trend... lots of people relocating.

The U-Haul index was over 2k one way SF Bay Area to Seattle and about 20% of that Seattle to SF Bay Area...

Can't wait for your posts on creating the Homestead... plus I'm certain your brother has lots of tips and connections to help.
