Mulching kit for BX 2680

Well I have the mulching kit on the f2690, wind blowing pretty hard last Thursday. Wife mowed with BX2680 and got grass all over her. I came home from her parents without any grass on me, she was covered. So ordered the mulching kit for the BX yesterday. Hope it does as good as the f2690 kit.

I ordered the mulching kit with the BX2370 I bought last year and it's great.

Wind was blowing about 40 mph today, when mowing with the f2690 with the mulching kit, no grass on me at all. Use a small rider to trim with grass all over me for a 15 minute job. Wife said it was too bad on the bx without the kit, but it is on order.

Installed the kit yesterday, wife mowed with it and gave her approval of the cut. So all is good with the world.

I believe I have a 60" deck on my BX2370-1 I bought last year. I had Barlows install mulching kit before delivering it and it works great. I'll check deck size and let you know for positive.

I have the F2690 with 72 inch side discharge.

Here are the parts numbers on the bill from dealer for mulch kit setup

Parts listed below are for bx2680 with 60 inch mower, will have to look up parts for f2690 with 72 inch side discharge mower

Mulch kit kub 700002505
baffle kit left kub 700002507
blades kub 7000025020

I would say the kub is just something on their computer system.

With the kit no grass on you. But you have to be regular in mowing. Could also be that having the mulching kit on the 26 hp f2690 with 72 inch mower is a strain if you don't mow on regular basis.
I have been mowing every 5 to 6 days on approx 10 acres of lawns (100 year old neighbor, in-laws, and myself). Placed mulching kit on bx2680 60 inch side discharge mower, wife loves it.

I thought you asked about a mulching kit for a 60" mowing deck. Guess I got confused. 628 answered the question I thought you asked in another thread with part numbers so I copied his response and pasted it in the thread where I thought you asked the question. Guess I got confused. That's what's going on in my reply/post.

I'm figuring to be absolutely no help here but I put the mulching kit on my Kubota Z122 Zero turn and it changed everything. No more bagging and even if I cut too high, I can go back over it and it sucks, recuts, and lays a finer mulch. Couldn't be happier. Haven't bagged in years now. Even with high grass. It just might take you two or three passes working down on it.

As I have stated I am very happy also with the kits installed, you just have to mow a little different. Would not go back . If I need something different, friend has a rfm he said I could use or keep at my place if needed.

After reading this, I am even happier I splurged for a Z turn instead of a MMM for my BX. I always mulch. And I know I would have gotten sick of removing the MMM often to do other landscaping tasks. I seem to need the ground clearance on my property.

I think you need a new dealer. I have used a dealer installed mulching kit on my BX2370-1 for a year (Spring and summer and fall) and I think it was under $150 purchased with the mower so original blades stayed with dealer and mulching blades came with the BX. (I bought 3 new blades at Barlows for F3080 72" RD deck last week and they were $26 each for price comparison)I always mow at over 4" to 6" grass high and have no issues, mow about every 10 to 14 days (My neighbor mows 2 to my 1 mowing and my brother, other side neighbor, mows 3 to my one mowing).
I bought and installed a mulching kit fo my small Kubota Z like Gragoneggs about the time he bought his and installed it for under $150 and wife used it on more level front yard with no issues and same frequency of mowing schedule as me. These are my actual hands on experience in Ky with a yard, not a lawn, and I never fertilize, lime or rake leaves (I mow leaves).
Check with Messicks for mulching price kit or Barlows or another Kubota dealer. :2cents::2cents:
