Gioacchino, If you ever need a replacement bucket tooth (actually, a replaceable hardened cap for the tooth) you might want to copy what I put in this old thread and the thread linked from that. (I had forgotten about the Arps research I did back then). I had to find the tooth manufacturer then work back out to a present-day firm stocking the part. Apparently the only application for the tooth was Arp's small backhoes including Deere's #7 model.

And here's another old (2011) thread re Yanmar backhoes. I had forgotten most of that.

Yep. Spring loaded pin took some persuading with a hammer and WD-40, but it SHOULD function well enough now to be able to be removed. When (maybe I should say IF, lol) I get the backhoe off, I will get the pin into better shape.

Unless the ball that the pin holds in the groove on the PTO shaft is rusted in place and releasing the pin does not allow the ball or whatever is in there to fall out of the groove? make a mixture of acetone and transmission fluid and pour it over the coupling every so often. its the best penetrant. Just plain ATF is good too just doesn't creep as much as the acetone mixture. Then after hours of it sitting push that pin in and then give it some good beats on the pump or shaft with a hammer as you pull outward on it.

Hmm acetone with ATF. Any particular ratio? Or just kind of until it is "flowy"?

Pictures of the PTO shaft connecting to the PTO pump. I drained the backhoe hydraulics and unhooked the hoses and got the backhoe unhooked from the tractor. I think I will better be able to tackle removing the pump now. It’s been soaking in rust penetrant for about 4 days now. Still won’t budge. It does appear that the push button pin release is not operating correctly because it looks like it will not fully “return”. I have tapped it repeatedly with a hammer and nothing changes. Thoughts?

I mentioned before about how it would be a mess to drain the hydraulics. Well it was. But boy am I glad I did. The hydraulic fluid was NASTY.

This is similar to what you have, a sliding bar. Could be yours is not going quite far enough in to release. Is there a snap ring to release it? Push Pin Kit | Agri Supply 75444

I don't see a snap ring on it. Unless there is some way for me to remove this portion with red on it and then have access to the pin;

Pump is off, finally. Said the heck with it and gave it a tug in 1st gear. There was no way it was coming off any other way. I sprayed almost a whole can of PB Blaster on it over the course of a day. When it came off the PTO shaft there was a puff of rust smoke. Now I can finally get some tilling and bush hogging done.
