today between the rain took another look at the brakes and why they are not sitting off the pan/floor. on closer examination there is a lever bent up under the steering cover attached to the park pedal lock, seems it broke at the cotter pin hole, this is likely why the last owner backed off both cables

anyway straightened the shaft, ground and welded a 5 inch length of 1/4 rod to the end, dressed it and re drilled the 1/16 hole for the pin, from the parts there is a spring and washer held by this pin, I assume the spring keeps up pressure on this shaft to catch the right pedal/park brake, one simply pushes down on the shaft to release brake.

now this is figured out I do not see any springs on the left and right brake pedals other than the springs inside the brake hubs, unless I am missing something the cables are tightened to raise the brake pedals off the deck, can anyone confirm this, thanks

Finally was able to mow today. Got the majority completed. 3-1/2 hours. Got stuck 2 times. That took an hour.

Mower cuts great. Those gator blades mulch well. With overgrown grass I had to go slower than normal. Gas gauge an hour meter not working. Going to have to work on those. The only thing not in working order. Very happy with my purchase. BTW the Mitsubishi diesel sips fuel.

One thing I might add. With the turf tires these things absolutely do not like wet grass. That is the only issue I had yesterday mowing.

The grass had got ahead of me. We've had several weeks of daily rains with intermittent flooding. Had to get it mowed. In most instances the mower was fine but on sharp turns or going up a grade no dice. My front is fairly level but the back and around the side is very steep in places. The grass was so thick I had to mow slow to keep the belt from slipping.

BTW, where can I get a fuel sending unit, temp gauge, and hour meter? Other than Toro? eBay?

The service manual has the adjustment procedure.

Did you troubleshoot the problems?

Or do you just replace parts and hope it fixes the problem.

Correct...
Fuel gauge is stuck way past Full...
I filled it up yesterday and it intermittently went back and forth several times...
I ASSUME it is the sending unit but I will diagnose further...
Hour meter was replaced at some time showing only 144 hours...
It did not move during my mowing session...
The temp gauge works and is original but difficult to see...
The lens is cloudy...
I was just wanting info if anyone had a parts source other than eBay or Toro...
Thanks...

my fuel gauge was stuck at half, took it out and carefully removed the glass the needle was stuck against the face, pulled the needle, filled the tank and put it back on at the full, seems to work OK now

i'VE BEEN RUNNING OVER THIS THREAD for an hour looking for the reply that tells how to test the bi-directional clutch on the 1998 325D Model/Serial 30795-80161,

If I remember right, I was to elevate the left front tire and the left rear tire. I am not sure what I was supposed to look for after that.

I thought I printed the instructions out and spen the first hour looking for those papers.

I know it is simple and I just can not remember or find the instructions
