Kioti LK2554
A month ago my 2002 kioti ck25 was taken to the local dealer for work. Took way too long for them to obtain filters from Kioti but finally they did. I'd complained the loader and scraper worked very slowly. But a filter didn't help. They got a replacement pump at great expense but no improvement. Called Kioti which recommended going through the valves. That was Friday. It's tuesday and the dealer hasn't called so I'm guessing they are still stumped.

Any ideas as to the cause and solution to the problem? This is the only problem I've had with this tractor. Light use, mainly moving snow at our home and digging post holes now and then. Hour meter went out long ago but it probably only has around 500 hours on it and is kept under cover. Thanks.

A good pump is going to pump the flow as advertised, so the flow is going somewhere.

GPM = speed of operation.

It is being used or diverted.

A process of elimination should narrow the process.

If they put a flow meter and pressure gage on the hyd system, they should know the capability of the pump.

If the pump flow after the valve is not the same, then they should know the fluid is being diverted.

Is there a diverter valve for the steering?

I appreciate your response. Let me update. Kioti corporate is very nice and reassuring when speaking to their dealer, where my tractor still sits. Beyond that they are basically worthless. That's my opinion. Example: No documentation specifici to my model, just generic stuff. They sent a 20-page hydraulics primer that has nothing to do with my model, or any other specific model. Latest word is the rear works, the front loader doesn't, still extremely slow. There was mention of locating a modulator but no advice as to where it's located. Any thoughts on that?

Tractor data says your tractor will pump about 7 GPM at max rpm.

The dealer can do a flow ans pressure check, and if not, take it somewhere else.

So, you need to see if the pump is pumping 7 GPM.

Take a 5 gal clean bucket, mark it off for one gal.

Start engine and use the loader valve to move fluid into the bucket.

If you can get a pump flow of 1 gal in about 9 sec , your tractor is pumping the advertised GPM.

If not, try hose directly off pump.

Check your return lines for restrictions.

Check your relief valve settings for correct operation.

Install a 3000 psi pressure gage and see if the cyl/pump will develop the advertised pressure.

What IS the advertised pressure? I can't seem to find it. How many lbs of pressure per rpm?

My CK30HST has starts a very mild steering wheel chatter when the fluid gets hot. Then last night I put the bucket on the ground and tried to lift the front wheels off the ground. VERY, VERY slow. No air in the hydraulic lines, no milkiness in the oil or bubbles, correct fluid level, no leaks. So... I am thinking it may be the pump.

Any ideas guys?

Thx

What IS the advertised pressure? I can't seem to find it.

Kioti makes it hard to find certain specs. They are in the service manual. System pressure is 2500-2560psi,
and flow rate at full RPM is about 8.3 GPM to the implement pump. PS pump and charge pump total an
additional 4.4 GPM at full RPM.

I would start with putting a pressure gauge on one of the FEL hoses.

check if there is a relief valve, also I have had coupler's go bad or get a obstruction, pinched hose?

when my CK20 had a hard time lifting the loaded it turned out the rear remote was partially engaged and dead heading the hydraulics, worth checking the system pressure

Here is what they are speaking of concerning a hydraulic pressure gauge, along with some helpful guides.
I built mine so it could be used as a Tee if necessary and have all of the various male and female QDs for any hydraulic connection on my tractor for troubleshooting. With this setup you should be able to eliminate/troubleshoot your issues down to a specific area. Plus adjust the pressure to specifications. Pressures are typically on the low side of specifications.

As mentioned, you could simply be having an issue with a single coupler. Early on with my tractor's front hydraulics for the grapple, the grapple starting reacting very slowly, intermittently. Long story short after getting my dealer on the phone for a LONG troubleshooting call, and he getting the OEM for the front hydraulics on a three way call and with me doing the troubleshooting, the OEM was going to ship me a new hydraulic package for me to replace since I did not want to drive the 3.5 hours to the dealer.

As a last resort, the hydraulic OEM said to disconnect and reconnect all of the hydraulic QDs to the grapple, which I did and found the QD fitting that was causing the issue. All connections looked and felt secure but one was not seated correctly internally and could not be identified just by looking at it.

Thanks sdef. Theough inspiration from this forum, I have wanted to attach a hydraulic pressure gauge as my loader seems weak to me - no idea if it is operating to spec or not, but sometimes I go to lift something and I end up saying "Really - THAT is too heavy!" (The language is frequently more colourful). I just didn't figure out a good spot to tee-in and to mount a gauge. It may have been mentioned in other threads and I didn't get it - but your picture made it clear to me - I can easily build and connect a temporary gauge.
