While it may have been comfortable I do not know that I would be able to fall asleep with the butt end of a 125# goofball up against the back of my head. And what happens when you roll over in your sleep and face the other way?
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Me either, but one of the funniest things was, we would be sound asleep, and somehow she would get there by means unknown to us, almost always without waking either of us in the process, and luckily for me, I never really ever slept facing the other way...

Not the best dog around young kids. He never has snapped at one, but has spun around like he was going to.

Not to get off track, but out of all the dogs we've had, never had one bit a kid, but by the same token, never left a young child with a dog ALONE together. Generally, when I hear a kit has been bit by a dog that hasn't shown any agression in the past, my first though it exactly what was the kid doing to the dog to get bit in the first place? I've seen some young kids pretty much abuse their parents dogs and the dogs have shown some amazing restraint IMO.

By the same token, when we use to do pet adoption work through the human society at Pet Smart on the weekends, I was amazed at how many kids didn't know how to approach a strange dog, wanting to pet the dog without asking for permission first, and how those kids parents didn't mind what their kids did with "strange" dogs they had no clue about. Only an opinion, but some kids were asking to get bit with strange dogs they would coming running up to all excited wanting to pet without asking for permission first...

Back on track, an older pic of one of my nephews playing with one of our dogs...

I don't trust any dog alone with a kid; call it paranoia, but why tempt fate? I have seen my previous lab sitting in the truck watching kids play; it was the only time I ever saw her drooling, she wanted to join them so bad. Yet I still wouldn't trust her, as kids can be ignorant. Two months before she died, when she was old and arthritic, with failing eyesight she was laying on the floor as I was visiting a friend when her two year old grandson walked up and started poking my dog in the eyes. It happened fast and was a true UhOh moment, yet my pup just turned her head to get away... giving me time to step in.

Back on track again, here's one that I took of my current dog this AM. (No wonder he has bad breath. :D )

Somehow they manage to get it on the fence, well above their butt level yet right at his mouth level.
