Question about tractor storage and security: Would anyone be nervous about storing their tractor in a locked garage with a battery key and security cameras in it? That is my plan. However we are 2 hours away, so even if I did see someone break in all I can do is call the police (which are probably 45 minutes away lol).

Make sure you have insurance on it. At 2 hours anyway anyone that knew that would have plenty of time to get it started and free. Cameras are only good to recover but if you cannot check them daily (I.e. internet connected) then the thieves will aim them away or cover them and come back later after the storage is full and steal your stuff. Happened to a storage facility near where I lived a couple years ago.

Much appreciated. I do have internet connected cameras (Cellular hotspot) so I will know in a couple of minutes.

If you have something that triggers on motion all the better. Personally I’d put cameras outside and one inside and pay most attention to the interior trigger. Cameras IMO are the way to go. If stuff is going to get stolen there isn’t much you can do. But at least with cameras you can hopefully help catch the thieves so it doesn’t happen to you or others again. Pretty nice you have electric and cell service there to setup such a system. Messicks just recently did a video about securing tractors and they talked about using hidden kill switches which would definitely slow someone down.

I don't know about the tractor you will choose but for myself - I know I would not function well at 8600 feet. I experienced a mild case of altitude sickness the one time we visited the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The elevation there is 8000 feet. And that was 40 years ago when I was just a pup.

You just have to acclimate. So for you a few days at 3000 then a few days at 5500 then up to 8000. However once you have altitude sickness you have to descend. I get it only around 12000 now. But I have lived at 5500 for the past decade.

I live at sea level, maybe 20 above high tide. I would be doomed at 12,000 feet, someone would need to haul my carcass off the mountain. :ambulance: :fight: :tombstone:

Got the most updated quote from the Dealer for the L6060. Here are the specs:

1. Base tractor with cab
2. 2 rear remotes
3. Loader 72" bucket
4. Loader 3rd function
5. Backhoe BH92
6. Backhoe Hydraulic Thumb
7. Backhoe Quick attach coupler
8. Backhoe 12" bucket
9. Backhoe 24" bucket
10. Rear wiper
11. Rear lights
12. Engine block heater

Getting pallet forks and box blade with it.

First, am I missing anything or any changes I should make? I do plan on getting KTAC and financing for 60m.

Second, need a price check. About $48k for the tractor R4 tires, with rim guard. BH with hyd thumb and 2 buckets about $14500.

Thanks so much all, if it works out I should take delivery in the next month.

That's sounds like a good price for the tractor. I've always wanted a backhoe, but the price kept me from getting one....I rarely need one.

I assume a SSQA on the FEL is just not listed?
