Finally got a quote on a Branson 4725H with FEL and backhoe. Basically the same amount as a comparable Kioti NX4510HST equipped the same. Branson seems like a nice tractor but for the same amount of money am leaning towards the Kioti.

There is no wrong answer there. Both are solid machines.

I'd drive them both and if that is equal, go with the best dealer. The auto-rev feature on the Branson seems like a feature that people really like. Not sure if the Kioti has that. I'd say you are going to like whichever one you pick.

I plan on doing a lookie lou on the Branson next week. Already played around on the Kioti and found the seating position comfortable. Branson doesn't seem to offer any type of financing, at least I can't find any mention of it. So need to explore the finer points of each deal as far as interest rates, insurance costs, etc.

One of the things not voiced here is the fact of replacement parts! When you look at Kubota who has been here since 1969 they have been a good parts supplier to keep them going! A brand that has only been around for ten years will not have the same costs. Although I consider many compacts not able to go the 10,000 hours plus we see with commercial use compacts for many residential owners they fit the mold of 100 hours a year and of coarse they will not have the same repairs as those at 500 hours a year. Numbers do count when it comes to parts and the more common tractors will have a better parts backup!
Our lines of older farm machinery have seen many parts go to after-market manufacturing to contan costs of the replacement parts and depending on the units sold as to tell if there will ever be a value to a manufacturer of any size!

We finance Branson tractors nearly every day of the year. Branson dealers have several options, many of us use DLL (agri-credit), some use Well's Fargo. Both have agreements with Branson. Rates are whatever the going market rate is for equipment finance. We offer 0%, but at minimum you give up the free loader if you go that route.

Branson is not large enough to have their own finance arm like JD and Kubota, or even Mahindra.

Up until about 3 years ago I picked up and delivered tractors and balers mfg overseas from Port Hueneme, California (Ventura). JD’s made in Germany (ag tractors), Case and New Holland tractors from Italy, and New Holland balers from Switzerland. There was also an assembly yard nearby where the smallest New Holland tractors came in from India in crates and assembled (chassis was assembled complete with tires/wheels,fenders, seat packed around it in the crate). It was interesting to get a first-hand view of where equipment comes from.

I see reference here and in other threads about new 'up and coming' brands vs. established brands. Years back, I bought what I felt was a better field and brush mower than what that big company offered, and at a better price for the size and capabilities. It was sold by Home Depot at the time. They no long sell it and I can't find anyone else that does. Parts are somewhat of a gamble to find. But overall, I still think it's a better machine. Hard to figure out why better machines fall by the wayside while lesser machines by established brands continue.

One of my key gripes with JD is that they spec things different to limit parts interchangeability. Their V-Belts for example have a unique angle and thickness. They have Kawasaki create a special engine number that most parts dealers can't cross-reference in their systems even though the parts are identical. Nobody but Deere could find the FH491V engine I have. They all asked me if I had the right number as all they could find was FH451V.

Please show us a John Deere, under 60hp compact tractor, thatç—´ Made in USA.

I think they said "compact tractors", your X744 is just a glorified riding lawnmower and falls well short of being a compact. Might be vaguely considered as a sub-compact.

Deere build tractors all over the world because Deere sells tractors and construction/mining equipment all over the world and that is what it takes.

There are several <60-horsepower Deere tractors produced in the USA, surely with some imported content.

Keep in mind Toyota's Camry model, made in Georgetown, KY, has higher domestic content than any other USA model most years despite Toyota badge. I have a Ford Fusion. Looks like a Detroit Ford but it is 100% from Hermosillo, Mexico.

My "used" Branson's power steering unit failed a month out of warranty [back in April ] and even now in august there paying half the cost of the New upgraded unit[kit] AND for installation [2.5 hours labor]. My new backhoe bucket cracked [new model hoe/ new model bucket]and they gave me a new one [rep drove it over the next day 6 hours and dropped a bucket off] [I got to choose a diff size AND let me keep the old one!] BRAVO BRANSON! That's service. Welded the 16" and have a new 13" bucket. Two buckets. Also they redesigned the steering cylinder as they will the bucket I'm sure. Branson's pretty quick on stuff. Just some of my experience. I'm also a huge 5.9 Cummins fan from towing 14k to 20k loads weekly so comfortable with the kukje. I bought my 4720h Used with 45 hours over on Camano island in Washington then moved to a town where a Branson dealer just now recently opened. I got lucky on the tractor and even luckier on the new dealer. I can afford Any color tractor I want and a bigger Branson cab tractor trigger may be pulled here soon. Last tractor was a Kubota L3830H. Red support has been great so far.
