Ls tractors

Bruno's is off the list for me. I look at some sites that show tractor ads and all I see is their Spam, dozens of listings with no real information, just hype about them and 'call for pricing' on too many of them. They may be too far away too unless they shipped for free.

I have one showing on the LS site that's about 80 miles from me along an Interstate highway. I'll be taking a road trip couple of months to look at MF, New Holland and LS offerings. Second road trip in another direction to look at JD, a couple of orange brands and possibly a Branson.

Like what I'm seeing on LS so far, but I'm still not sure I can handle the costs.

I recently (3 months ago) purchased a LS XR4155HC after almost 2 years of agonizing research. I was down to a Yanmar YT359 but could not get the dealer below 40k. I reopened my research and was down to TYM and LS-got a screaming deal (I think) on the XR. In all my researching TYM, Kioti were the only brands that were price competitive with LS, comparably equipped-NH, Kubota, JD and Mahindra were almost always quite a bit more-YMMV

I did a lot of research before I bought my LS 6168CPS. I have about 325 hours in it now and I have no major complaints. it has worked really fine. No troubles. mine has a diff lock. I would assume all the models do. The engine is strong and my regen cycle does not operate very often. doesnt slow me down at all. With the extras I bought I compared pricing extensivly. best bang for the buck. If I would have gone green, I would have had to pay 10 grand more. I also bartered several dealers before buying 1K miles away at bruno powersports. they gave me the best price. My advise is to buy bigger then you plan.

I never called Bruno's but my dealer (less than 60 miles) from my house beat Bruno's Tractorhouse price by over $2,000. Even if Bruno's would have matched or even came in a little cheaper, my local dealer is gonna take better care of me because I bought from him. He told me last week if I came in with a mechanical issue or for service and someone who didn't purchase from him came in 2 days before me, he's gonna get on my tractor first because I purchased from him and not elsewhere.

So, I wonder....if I move to NC with my LS tractor that I purchased where I live now is that dealer going to throw me last in line for service because I didn't buy the tractor from him?? This type of attitude/comments by dealers irks me to no end. Poor business practice - run off a customer who still needs to purchase items - maybe just parts, maybe needs service, maybe wants to buy attachments or maybe needs a different tractor down the road or who might refer a friend who wants to buy a tractor.

When customers come into my branch they get serviced in the order they walked in - even my large accounts know that is how we operate. If they want to get in and out quick then they call ahead to have their order ready for pickup.

Overandout, congrats on your tractor purchase! - not ranting about you just hate that "I won't service your tractor" attitude some dealers show. :2cents:

hey Goeduck how did you happen to pick that name? I used to harvest them in the early 70's in puget sound. i'll figure out how to post some pictures. I have much of my service done at my local dealer which is Matt Millers LS tractors. but I am going to do a lot of it my self from now on. routine service like oil changes and grease just got pretty expensive.

rngrrymd what you say makes good seance but you need to dicker with them. I made my best price with bruno's which was much cheaper then I could do it in Florida, then I told them the deal would be done if they threw in the 7 ft brushhog. which he did.

What kind of price should I see for this?

LS MT125 Tractor New LS Tractor 25HP Diesel 2-range hydro 62" mower deck, front end loader and backhoe included

Backhoe, Backhoe Make: LS, Backhoe Model: LB1107, Loader, Loader Make: LS, Loader Model: LL1100

What have people really been paying for that set-up?

Sounds like you done good. Nothing wrong with keeping some hard earned cash in your pocket. Good for buying beans and other things. :D

No worries, my dealer was talking about the "home town" guys coming in getting quotes and then purchasing a tractor 3 hrs away because it was $200 cheaper then when something breaks come in and expect service manager to get to work on their tractor immediately because its warranty.
But your point on the attitude of some dealers,( I shopped 8 dealers in 3 months), is correct. Had 2 that I called told them exactly what I wanted, never called me back. Had one sales man as I walked in looked at me and said "What do you want", no introduction, told him what I was looking for and what was a round about price, he told me to comeback when I see one on the lot. A Mahindra salesman told me I was keeping him from lunch when I walked in and a JD dealer had no salesman there on a Friday afternoon. I guess since I wasn't buying a $100,000+ tractor they weren't to concerned about me.
