my YTA24V48 rolled off the truck today

Do you folks still have your YTA24v48 mowers ? If so, how do you like them ? Any more issues to report ?

I'm seriously pondering buying one right now.

I have an old Husqv YTH that's bulletproof. Bought a new Husqv GT 3 years ago that's been a total lemon. The 6-year $1200 Sears extended warranty I bought has already paid for itself a couple times over, which is awful.

Been told never to buy this type of equipment from a big box store. The manufacturers make "special" (cheaper) models for the big box stores. Buy it from a dealer.

Just to show what I'm talking about. The front on the mower with the missing cap when it was returned after repairs. Such a minor item, but I bought the bumper extra for the mower, as it did not come on the mower when we bought it. The cap should not be very expensive for them to replace, or so difficult for the repair shop to step up and admit they somehow lost it.

Those caps will NOT stay on. One fell off then got mowed and is now in two pieces. Need to silicone glue them in place.

Honestly, I have gotten pretty good service from Lowes, but they do not do their own repairs and farm it out. So that has proven to be slow finding someone to that will fit me in (like getting a doctor's appointment now days - everyone is backed up) And while the Husqvarna dealer that has been doing these repairs for me have done good timely work, dealing with them over the phone and some of his insinuations about me being the cause of my mower's problems has been a tongue biting experience. So I cannot recommend this dealer, and feel lucky that we have a Lowes extended warranty and not this dealer alone.

Thanks, I do plan to glue the cap on with something and will check the other side to see how easily it can be removed too, and glue it if needed.

I'm surprised that your mower didn't come with the bumper caps... mine did and as a standard item. Nevertheless, don't be surprised it you occasionally knock that cap off easily. I have on several occasions, but they just slip right back on. I plan to glue mine in place. In fact, I've been planning on doing that for 3 years now

I'm sorry, for the confusion. The end caps were on the bumper when we purchased the bumper, however the mower did not come with a bumper. We purchase the bumper separate the next week after we got the mower and installed it. Up until now, I had never had a problem with the caps coming off. When it came back from warranty repairs a few weeks ago, the cap was gone. So, I guess I will glue it on when the new one arrives

Here it is end of the month and nearly a month since I been calling and complaining about my missing rubber bumper cap and still no cap. Although my local Lowes store agreed to mail me a new cap that should have arrived back on the 24th, it never got here. More phone calls and another promise, but no cap as of yet.
