Milwaukee 18 String Trimmer

Works great for me. My 3 Stihl’s shock work excellent also sir the majority of the time

Only change I made was a manual head. I hate Bump Heads

Don’t knock 18V. Power is volts times Amos and Milwaukee is a master of high current batteries

And I'm the opposite; really like the bump head. And I like my EGO string trimmer with the bump head better than any I've had in the past. I do go through more string than I probably should, and if it were a commercial operation, I might have to do some changing, but for my use, I'll just buy the string and not worry if I'm wasting some.

Yuo screwed up the title on my iPhone

I run Stihl 0.105 string which I buy is a giant reel. I just can't get the Bump heads to work for me.
Also loading them takes some time. I carry a big coil of line in my pocket and a pair of cutting pliers. I can load two new strings in well under a minute.

I have an older Husky 225R Brushcutter, heck I've had it for 20+ years now and it still runs great. The original bump-and-go head wore out and I replaced it with the new design Husky head and I really like it. It holds a ton of string and it doesn't jam like the old design. I recommend it for anyone needing a new trimmer head. Husky makes a few different models with different thread size/pitch so they should retrofit onto most brands.

I have a bunch of the Milwaukee 18V tools, glad to hear the string trimmer works well.

And the new M18 Chainsaw is even better. The 12 AH Battery is higher current that the smaller batteries

I have one and put an oregon gator speed load head on it. Not the cheapest string setup but sure make a nice gab and go tool. Plenty of power and I can usually do the whole house with a 4mah battery.

I'm assuming you mean a 4 AH battery. A 4 mah battery would not last long at all.

BTW, don't they come with a 9 AH battery?

I recently got the wife a Ryobi 40 Volt Line Trimmer (bump line feed) as her old 12V batteries died. It has two speed ranges. She loves it, might even let me borrow it some time. :thumbsup:

Yes Or Tool Only. 9 & 12 AH because of higher current due to different cell configuration provide higher power
