I’d like to hear all the details. There is a truism on Internet forums: when a person joins and their one and only post is a poorly written rant about a purchase, it just can’t be taken seriously.
It like all the people that write bad reviews on Amazon of books they have never read just because they want to hurt sales.

Found out it's kinda easy to push over a dead 3" diameter tree if you get it about 3' above ground.

They said these things weren't capable of this. They said 'you''ll never pull more than a small sapling stump with that little thing!'

This was about a 10-12" Locust stump. Didn't think to take a picture before I started because I never expected to get this far. I figured I'd cut a few holes around it to let the rains soften the ground a bit. Right now, it's near rock hard. You can't sink a normal shovel into the ground at all right now without a lot of effort. Once I started picking at it, a few surface roots broke off. Then a few lower down. Then I noticed on one pull that the stump itself wiggled and bounced a bit. That encouraged me to go farther than planned. Until .....

To be fair, the tree was cut down a few years ago and the stump was partially rotted, but still very hard. I don't think this means I could dig a equal sized fresh stump out.

Nice work! Might be wise to remove your DOT slow moving vehicle safety sign and leave it in the garage when not driving on the roads :) Better visibility that way

My little XJ is in the garage in a few pieces right now, while I run some wires for my new lights.. its going to be like driving the sun when I'm done with it!

Hate winter...and Hate that the sun sets at 5!

Ill get some video of that for sure

Grade 2 bolts wont have lines like a pie shape. They may still have letters(bolt makers initial's) Grade 5 will have 3 lines and grade 8 will have 6 lines(or the number). As long as you bought the plain old zinc plated bolts you are good. Those are grade 2. You also asked about the shuttle throttle pedal on the XG3025. It does not have a plastic shoe. The XG3135(and larger) is the first model in the current line to have the plastic shoe.

thanks! ok so the dealer wasn't just pulling my leg about the plastic shoe. I'm pretty sure I'll be ok with those bolts, they are definitely NOT grade 5 or 8, the plain ole zinc bolts. heck they might not even be grade 2 LOL

today, I got the last 3 tines replaced on the tiller, for those who don't wanna scroll, I ordered new tines and my tiller takes 3 for the outside disc, and the guy sent me some that turn the other way. Yesterday I got my new PTO shaft and the 3 correct tines, so I got them all put on. PTO shaft was the perfect size, didn't have to cut it, lucked out to be perfect! So, I did get the garden spot tilled in. Man I am loving this tractor! I enjoyed my old 55 Ford, but let's be real, that wasn't made to pull a garden tiller. 2nd pass and the dirt is pure powder :D

Questions .....

What Hydraulic fluid should I have on hand? Dealer gave me a gallon of generic 303.

When I activate the left turn signal, why does the right lamp come on steady while the left flashes? And same for the opposite.

Dealer gave me two keys. I wouldn't mind having another spare. Can they be made locally (without the LS logo obviously), or do they have to be ordered? Cost?

For those that have BHs, when you detach, do you leave them on their three legs, or do you block/prop the center body?

think you kinda missed the point, this thread is all of us who already OWN one..... ;)

and 2 days later, he hasn't been back. I worked at a restaurant for several years in management. They went from 'secret shopper' type reviews, to 'customer based' reviews. I told them that it would be a mistake, because typically the vast majority of that kind of review is only going to be done by the people who aren't happy about something. Like the one lady who called in and complained because the company we got our carry out bags printed 'prices may vary at different locations' but spelled it 'very'......yeah that was really our fault to the point of needing a bad review on US......LOL sometimes I wonder about people, other times, I'm sure ;)

Had all sorts of trouble getting the tiller attached today. Part of it was because I wasn't familiar with how to do it. And I had to cut the PTO shaft to size since this was the first time I've used it.

But a lot of the trouble was trying to moose the thing around to get the pins in place. Considering one of the HF engine hoists, but I may have to change the wheels on it due to rough ground. They're rated for 2,000 pounds and the tiller is less than 500.

Thoughts?
