Comparison Deere 5065E vs M7060 value & pricing

BTW both 5E and Kubota M series of tractors have another similarity to one another that most other tractors I can think of in their size and HP class don't have, and that's a DPF which of course means a regen cycle. This is a negative to both models BTW, and IMHO the biggest advantage that most comparable tractors have over them.

So there is also a piece of information I feel that I should include in this discussion. The tractor is being used by a non-profit educational farm that donates produce to school districts for low income children and women’s shelters.

That really has no bearing on the work being done but rather the discounts offered by each manufacturer. The ONLY manufacturer that directly supports non-profits as a rule is Deere.

I will report back on whether Kubota is willing to help us out but I’m not optimistic. The company is a real deal 501 (c)3 non-profit with a FEIN charity number etc...

I didn’t really want to throw that wrench in the mix but I felt it was pertinent on why dealer support is so important to us.

Unfortunately Kioti, LS, Yanmar, and I guess Massey aren’t really in the same position as Deere or Kubota to offer that kind of option.

To be clear we don’t call a dealer and ask for a “donation”. It’s simply a request for best pricing due to the nature of the business.

After reading all the posts it’s clear that either tractor will suit our needs and I think the team will put good use to both.

I will say Deere has an implement bonus right now and we need a disc so that’s playing heavily into the decision.

Thanks again for all the replies

Something tells me everything attachments would help out a project like that...

I have no affiliation with them, I just a have a bunch of their stuff and knowing how Ted feels about America I think it's up their alley.

17% off MSRP on a Kubota M7060 is a good price. Not sure on Deere. Also consider a Massey Ferguson 4707.

Agree as one posted said, 5075E compares to M7060 and 5065E compares to M6060.

I compared and I found the Kubota to be much nicer in all respects. The Kubota are Manufactured 100% in Japan. The Deere’s major parts come from India and Mexico and put together here, best I can tell.

I have over 200 hours on my M7060 and have not had even a minor issue.

Well that's a great vote of confidence!

I'm going to send an email over to Kubota, Deere, and (shocker) New Holland to see what each manufacturer's guidelines are for non-profits. I'm skipping Branson, LS, and other smaller brands due to dealer support. I'm sure the quality is fine and it's simply an issue of support.

I wasn't really considering a Workmaster but an associate mentioned it's a similar tractor and would fit our needs. I don't really know much about those as it seems Deere and Kubota have the market locked up on Midsize Utility Tractors.

I really appreciate all the responses as it's made our decision a lot easier.

Honestly I think I would prefer that to DEF as that's just one more thing for me to buy monthly and track expenses for.

Re: Deere 5065E vs M7060 value & pricing

I went with the Massey Ferguson 4707 largely in part due to it not having a DPF or DEF. Excellent tractor . Definitely worth a look and it was cheaper than the m7060.

For the OP: Or even better yet, 27% - 29.5% off a Case Farmall 75C or New Holland T4.75. Great tractor. No DPF. Uses DOC. Got my 2018 Case Farmall 75C with Cab and all the options for $45,400 - list price on CaseIH build site is $64,459.
