We ARE talking about dogs here!!! DOGS, not anything important really in the grand scheme of things..

It's pretty simple, whatever animals you own, contain them or chances are you will lose them one way or another.. If you have loose dogs attacking you're livestock, threatening you're your family, get rid of them and forget about it.. We are not talking about cancer here, dig a hole and be done with it..

I agree with you atsah. The use of violent force is seldom - seldom recommended. Using a firearm to achieve the death of another being is deciding *YOU* ARE *GOD*. Now, I've decided plenty of times - " I AM GOD " and butchered chickens - kill deer - kill pheasant - kill squirrel - kill, kill, kill, kill.... My sister asked me to decide to be with her beloved dog while she was put down at the vet because she had terminal cancer - and I looked at the doctor and said "inject her with death" - because I loved that sweet little dog - she was so fun.

Why be so brag-a-docious (SP????) about it? It really puts gun owners at a place of SHAME.

Take care of you're problems the way you see fit.. It has nothing to do with with guns and shame.. This thread was started by someone that has livestock being attacked and mauled by loose dogs.. Doens't matter the breed, the color or whatever, it's a problem because another stupid human has their hand in it..

Yes, atsah - bragging. Go ahead are review this thread and others. When someone feels the need to "say outloud" how they've decided to be GOD and terminate another being's life - what else would you call that? An excessive need to "give advice" maybe?

Sounds like you have killed and slaughtered many more creatures than I considering I don't hunt and never have, maybe you have regrets in doing so and it's evident in you're posts..

I have killed and slaughtered as a son of a farmer. Not out of need, more out of tradition. There's nothing "awesome" about killing another living being. I'm no janist. I don't go around worrying about the bugs or the fact that most of my food is probably not handled like I would handle it myself. If you enjoy killing anything, I suggest visiting a therapist. You're not a bad person, but some guidance towards social norms might be helpful. My regrets are none of your business (don't take that personally atsah I like your posts and appreciate you here) this being a public forum and all.

I'm a strong advocate of the 2nd amendment and I don't like it when people trivialize the death of another - be that dog or man.

I was the son of a farmer myself and I never killed anything, I couldn't do it.. Leave it at that.. I like reading you're posts as well. This thread is a touchy one and threads like it will normally end up in a bad place..
