Good morning!!!!

Good evening! Hope you had a great anniversary Ron.
88˚ today and it's hard to comprehend that it will be in the 40s tomorrow and not reach 70˚ for the next 10 days. This is like Michigan weather. My neighbor invited me over to watch him change his sprinkler system to a drip irrigation system. This will be interesting.

LS I think I might be looking for a second opinion, could not hurt anything, and sometimes it helps to have a second set of eyes and experience look at that knee.

Starting yesterday, I started spraying some permethrin on the fire ant mounds. I put down 4 gallons yesterday. After a small shower this morning, I could see fresh dirt on top of some mounds to tell if they were still active (or I had missed them the first go around). I ended up putting another 4 gallons out today.

I took the kids fishing, since it will be the last "warm" day for over a week. It was 88F and humid. A good breeze out of the south kept the fish from biting much, but the middle daughter caught one bass.

My daughter drove the rider and I manned the weedeater so we got the yard mowed while warm. I might need a new speed head for my weedeater, it doesn't want to advance new filament with a bump. I reloaded it before putting it up. I might not need it again this year... :)

Waiting for the storms to hit tonight. Like Don said, hard to figure this cold weather lasting so long down here.

Now that Don moved, the storms will hit his place at least an hour before they get here... :)

Good evening all. 56F for the start, overcast, 1.2 inch in the rain gauge, calm wind. Wind stayed light to moderate till 1 hour ago, overcast with some light drizzle, rain moving in on radar, and high temp of 67F. Started with Chapel, made pancakes for the wife, and went for a bike ride. Low water crossing had some water over it but passable on the bike. Had a fender mount break and had to stop and unjam the fender.
Ted sorry about your knee.
RNG sorry to hear about your violence issues nearby. That sure get my attention  The electric issue sound like the one they had in LA a few years ago. No warning was given when blackout were coming and machining centers would be mid cycle when the lights would go out. Royal pain you know where to extract cutting tools when power came back.
Drew, the up side of the neck surgery sounds good, just don't want to in the first 100 practice cases:D
prayers for all.

Kyle if you wind the string the wrong way it will not advance with the bump.
Still 80˚ 3 hours after the sun went down.

43 degrees and raining at 3:30 a.m., went on down to 40 by 6 a.m., going for a high of 46 degrees. Rain in the forecast to be around today and tomorrow (100% chance) and a lessor chance every day this week.

Good morning all, 53 going to 75 with a 60% chance of showers. Took it easy yesterday, no plans for today yet.

LS, my cousin had back surgery, 13 of them I think. Nothing did any good. Went to a new DR and found the old DR had been lying about the effectiveness of his surgeries. He had made a mess and gave himself glowing reports. I would surely get a second opinion even if I stayed with this Dr. Prayers sent.

TX, try to stay warm.

Have a great day, prayers sent. Ed

Rainy 55 going to 76.

Sounds like Texas is cooling off.

RNG, sounds like you live in a different country sometimes. Stay safe.

We thought all of our hummingbirds had left to travel south, but we have seen a rufous hummingbird the last couple of days...first time ever seeing one here since they are rare in the east...we usually just have ruby throats.

Coco caught a possum in the yard yesterday...glad it wasn't the skunk.

The HVAC guy is coming for regular maintenance today...plus I've noticed some condensation in the ducts under the house...one section was pretty saturated. The drain off the unit seems to be working fine, so don't know what's up, although it has been a wet, humid summer.
