I read the story, another person that should not own a dog. I saw a picture of the dog, there is no question as to what it is..

Choking back tears was he, he is a moron for bringing potential danger into his family..

The husband says "she may have taken food from him" and that's why the pit bull killed her, what a moron.. Great excuse for not training a dog, living in an apartment, no place for the dog to do anything and an aggressive breed to begin with..

It happens too often, it could happen five days a week in this country and the people that own or want to own pit bulls would still defend the breed.

Now this guy in DC may have been an upstanding guy that decided to take a chance and buck the statistics and now his wife is dead. Some people have to learn the hard way, the guy is an idiot for bringing the breed into his house all the while knowing any part of his family or anyone visiting could be in danger.. Now his wife is dead because he made a foolish mistake, he didn't die, someone else did because he is a moron, his wife should have went to the store and it happened the other way around, he would have paid the price instead of making someone pay for him..

Unfortunately when I see someone with a pit bull my thoughts are that there is a pretty good chance they are losers.. Seems that I see more pit bulls in trashed trailer houses, junk everywhere, cars that haven't run in 20 years and the doors of the trailer open all winter, beer cans all over the lawn and burn out marks in front of the trailer or low income apartment housing, sad..

We have a pit bull. I don’t think we are losers. What difference does it matter if someone lives in a mobile home or a mansion? Some people would love to lay their head down at night in a run down “trailer” instead of on a cold park bench or the cold hard ground. Do you stereotype certain races of people as well?

Nope I don’t, just telling you what I see around here.. I have Never seen a person with a pit bull around here that looked respectable. Did you read what kind of trailer I talked about? It’s what I see HERE..

I hope you don’t have a similar story that is in the news so often concerning you’re pit bull some day..

Hopefully you didn’t make a decision that someone else has to deal with like the guy in DC did..

What kind of dog is it?

The reality is it's a heinze 57 breed with a good does of terrier.

See below, let me know which one the"pit bull" is (but I bet if the news makes the comment that a guy shot up the place with a revolver and the news shows a picture of a Sig 220, you'd know right off the bad that the gun in the pic wasn't a revolver).

What I still find amazing is the fact that the guy states "I'm thinking she might have taken some food or something like that from him and he's real aggressive like that, right? Maybe, just maybe, he reacted like that. That's what I'm hoping," said Frazier. What the heck? You state the dog is "real aggressive like that" if food or "something like that" is taken from him, and you have the dog for 8 years?

We had two bully breeds for a total of about 10 years. Not one bite, not one act of agression towards people other than new people showing up at the house and the dogs barking being scared of people they didn't know. Never made the news with them, go figure.

You probably also went right over the one article I posted where the ASPCA stated that they had been told in the past that news organizations did not want to hear if someone was mauled or killed by a "non pit bull" breed because those type of dogs don't basically sell news papers? kind of reminds me of how Lamar shoots Tyrique with a saturday night pistol in the ghetto of Chicago but we never read about it because it's doesn't sell the news like a guy going out with a "black rifle" shooting up the place.

Gods to honest truth??

I've only been married once, and if you know me and the type of woman I'd marry, If I did something like that, I wouldn't be here:D

Seems some people here just can't take a joke.

And yes, I'm old school and still haven't mastered multiple quotes from various posts in one response;)

No, I don't see what kind you talked about but I do see this though "Unfortunately when I see someone with a pit bull my thoughts are that there is a pretty good chance they are losers..".

In atsahs defense, I believe the "bully breed" (aka "Pit Bull) draws the wrong kind of pet ownership, for whatever reason. The reality is, for better or worse, if you're "inner city" and you want a dog, it's going to be a bully breed. Tough and takes no crap and you're a owner to be reckoned with! (honestly, I don't know what goes through people's mind if they're from the inner city).

Just look at GirlWhoWantsTractor comment on why anyone would want to own such a breed. If you own a bully breed per GWAT, there must be something wrong with you because there is no reason why you should want to own such a breed if you have any common sense (per what I've read into her comment).

Did have to laugh... one of our cubscouts a couple years ago was very proud of the fact that they owned a "pit bull". When I was over their place and saw the dog, it looked more like a German Shepard mix and I really saw 0% of any "bully breed" in the dog. Thing is, the kid thought it was a pit bull and proud of it. Why? Personally, I never look at a dogs breed, but the dog itself.
