The Wild Wild West was "camp." Sort of like Batman -- it was shamelessly self absorbed and not afraid of making fun of itself.

A for plans out of time, when they filmed the 80's version of the lone Ranger in NM they had a scene that included blowing up an old dam -- only one take possible. And when they reviewed the film they discovered a plane flying in the background. I suspect that anything like that can be magically edited out with today's technology but back then it was there to stay.

Davy Crocket and Daniel Boone, when I was a kid in the UK I was given a davy crocket hat by friends who were posted on a nearby usaf base, it was my pride and joy.

I guess how we define 'old time' determines what shows can be included. Most of those mentioned are 50s and 60s or at least started then and continued later. Kung Fu ran from 72 to 75.

If it predates cell phones, computers, X-box and gay marriage, I consider it "Old-Time"...not to mention predating grandkids, arthritis, SS checks and fiber.

LOL, the way (from what I recall) he fired that rifle with its big looped lever made it sound like an AK47.

As I read what others are posting I realize that a lot of the shows ended before I was around. I have always heard of shows like "Cisco Kid" and "Have Gun" but never watched them until U-Tube came along.
