drinking first cup of coffee. 40° with rain this morning. Heading to 45° with rain ending in afternoon. Over 1" rain since yesterday morning. Got all my gear together to pick up bedroom set. Found all my bungee straps that have been missing since I cleaned up barns last year. They were where they belonged. But I never looked in that storage bin. :confused3: Talked to son in afternoon. He tells me he still has his covered trailer. He is bringing it to my place today. Better way to move furniture. Canceled yesterday's move with seller. Going to do move one day next week. When weather is better. Need to figure out how to store another trailer in barn.
PJ, We all need empty nest time. Enjoy yours. Both sons left for awhile. Then came back for a year. We have had over 25 years of empty nesting. Always nice to have them visit with grandkids.
Roy, hope you are getting better.
Bird, I have visited and eye doctor that took care of patients that way with mother. At 90 years old she had no idea if they had treated her eye problem. My wife went to a dental oral surgeon. Similar thing but patient stays in same room with 5 to 6 aids. Wife was happy with her care there.
Randy, hope your day went well.
Looking, I did a lot of travel from Detroit to Toronto in my job. My biggest gripe was drivers that would start to pass you on the 401 then stay along side of you so you could not use the left lane. I remember driving Vette home from Brampton. A driver in a Impala did that several times. I finally sped up with him following me. Last I seen of him was a cloud of dust in a turn. I looked at the speedo. It was past 100 mph. Never got a ticket for speeding in Canada. But there were some close calls. I would start at speed limit on trips. Then hit button to increase speed on cruise control each time I got passed. I was usually very close to 80 mph (128 kph) by the end of my trip. Still getting passed.
Drew, good luck with barber. Hard to find a good one.
