Blew up Kubota motor

I just called them again just to keep it short . I told them they sold someone a 4700 engine as a 5100 engine .
I told them the word about their under handed tactics was spreading in the tractor world.
They started trying to explain and I just hung up.

Darrell called back, but I didn't answer.
He left a message asking me to call them back and lets try to work this out, as they are a small business and don't need anything that may hurt their business.

I have in the past left negative google reviews for their company

That doesn't even upset me. Mistakes happen and we are all human. But trying to tell me its a perfect engine, that needs NO machine work.....swearing at me on the phone, accusing me of lying and changing my story.....etc etc.......and using that as an excuse to somehow steal my ~$400.....thats inexcusable.

The conversations on the phone....tough to prove....and tough to take sides if someone is truly looking at this from the outside. But facts are facts....and thats what I was trying to focus on. Fact that the engine simply was the wrong engine and that THEY made a mistake should have warranted nothing more than an apology from them accompanied by a full refund. I was totally shock about how things spiraled downhill since then. Its a wonder they are even still in business

I just got back in the house from doing some outside work and he had called again .
This time his tone was different. Said he was going to put my name out to all salvage yards not to sell to me ! LOL
I can't think of any time I have ever bought from a salvage yard of any type...

I never mentioned any names when I called, but somehow he related my call to you when he called back.

I think you'll get your money. Just surprised it has taken this long.

I purchased a new item on the net and the product was never sent. Cost charged to my cc was a little over $25.00.
When I called my CC company, they said no problem, we'll take care of it.
I don't know if they wrote it off, or if they got their money back from the merchant. I just know I was credited for the amount.

Yea, like I said, I was credited already. So I technically do have all my money back

What I don't know is....weather the cc company is going to eat it, or go after the merchant.

And cc company worded it as a "temporary" credit. I imagine simply because if they find me full of crap they can remove credit and side with merchant.

This, and that sometimes happens. But I would continue to be optimistic. Unless the merchant can establish to the dispute resolution department's personnel that you are wrong, the temporary credit will become permanent.

If the merchant's practices are as questionable as they appear to be, the CC issuer may even have a history of complaints against them.

That's way less than the 200 day average everyone else is yapping about. How'd you get so lucky?

Yep, new engine in there and all is good. No clue how far back it is in the thread.

As for the CC dispute, I'm in the middle of one now. It's been 2 months and never got the $60 item. Like LD1 my card was temporarily credited. I got a call today from my credit union where the card is at. The card issuer (I assume Visa) wanted more info. I forwarded the e-mails that I've sent and mentioned the calls I've made with no resolution. The rep made it sound like it should be simple from here on out. I filed the paperwork close to 2 weeks ago.
