LASER RUST REMOVER

Hi folks, Been a while since I visited. I'd like to know if anyone has used this laser rust remover. Like to get a review or two before purchasing one. any input will help. Thanks.

I saw the ads for them too, was wondering about how well it works myself. Saw one listed online for $40, cheap enough to take a chance on, even if it doesn't work well.

We were working at Sikorsky Helicopter...They had a entire building where they refurichoppers.. they had one of those lasers. Pretty amazing results.

Here's a video...pretty amazing results. My first thought is that they are potentially very dangerous...I'm betting you could lose a finger or a hand pretty quickly; not to mention what they could do to your eyes. I'm betting some special safety equipment would be in order.

The video I saw (not the one posted) shows going directly over human fingers, no harm. Not sure I'd try that, but I'd be careful with exposure to skin, and definitely eyes.

The article is 2 years old. I'm not trying to say that the price on the $480k unit in the video has dropped to $40 in that time, but it would be interesting to get a "current price" on that unit.

That is what I found too Mendonsy $50,000 to $80,000.
