Replacing oil pressure switch on Kubota B2150

I need to replace the oil pressure switch on my Kubota B2150. I have the part ordered. Is the replacement pretty straightforward or is there anything I need to be aware of? Looks like just backing the old one out and replacing it with the new one? Thanks

Hello, it's a simple operation, you do not have to be afraid, just take the old one and put the new one

Might want to use some sort of thread sealer on new one...BUT also consider the pressure switch may get its ground from the threads in engine block... Would probably use a "dope" and not PTFE tape which may insulate new switch from grounding..

If the sensor switch only has 2 possible states ("Low" and "OK"), if one looks at the sensor and sees 2 wires (or 2 connectors, tabs, prongs, etc..) I think this would indicate it probably doesn't use its thread connection with engine block (ground / neg (-) ) for part of the circuit path.

(Now if the sensor switch has 3 positions (say "Low Warning", "Low Shut-Off" and "OK") it could have 2 wires and use engine block as a path, but I don't doubt your switch works like that. )

I hadn't considered the grounding issue. The switch has only one connector. I ran a diagnostic test and, yes, it gets ground from the threads. Thanks for the heads up!
