Welding Table?

I made this 2' X 3' table with fold down vise as a 1st real welding project. I use it a lot - as a welding table and work cart. Nice and portable. Has a 1/4" top so maybe not an official welding table but it is what I have so I use it for every thing. Even fairly big stuff.

Thank you all gentleman.... I was actually looking for a independent yeah or nay on the table mentioned in first post...

I realize I can drive 70+ miles one way to get steel I would need, and then off to get some casters and such... But was mainly interested in fact table seems to be light weight and seems to be easily assembled and move around and comes right to my door with free shipping (????)...

I was really trying to avoid leaving my backwoods quiet burg and not having to thread my way through 1/2 million population and find a steel supplier that I don't know where they are located and have never done business with before and not sure of pricing of materials....

Yeah at 74 years I am getting lazy and reclusive....

It's all about space. If I was in my old shop I would still be loving my 5x8 Platen table. As it is today after stepping back a bit and moving to the woods, I use a series of tables to roll up to each other as needed for size. One of my favorites is a simple pump up rolling 2x3 that raises up to nearly 4' and holds 600#. I have a piece of 3/8 3x5 I can set on it if needed and or roll other tables in line to make a modular table. Loved the platen though. Nothing like a huge welding table.

I have two tables now. One is a 24' truck frame, has a set of wheels under it and jacks on each corner. 1/2" x 6" x 4' plates that you can move around to where you need them. It sets out side when I am not using it. If I need it, just roll it in and set the jacks down. I use the jacks to level it, before I start welding.
The other one has two sawhorses made from S3, with 4 - 7/8" x 6" x 10' long plates, then 6 -10ga x 12" x 5' plates that can be move around. Total size for that table is 10' long x 5' wide. By moving the plates around you can do just about any layout and clamp the parts down were you need to.
Also, I do not, nor do I allow my employees weld something to the tables to use as a jig.
That is what clamps are for.
We do make jigs for items that we make several of. These then just set on the welding table.

Same company same concept, just looking at the 2x3 ft version (fits small shop/garage better)...

Oops... that was the same outfit. Sorry, there is another one that I was looking at that was similar. I will see if I can find it.

Depending on your area, you may be better off to show that site to a local machine shop and ask them what they would charge to build the same for you. Shopping local for heavy stuff is typically a good idea.

Highly doubtful, but wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Well, shipping is hardly ever "free" on something that weighs so much. It is just factored into the price.

Finding a local shop with the tools and time to create such things are what most folk have an issue with. If you have such a place local, most times a small table like OP wants can be made from scraps of other jobs. An hour on laser to cut the parts and an hour in the weld shop for assembly would be cheaper than the tables listed. Since he plans on assembling the shipped unit, he could even save some by doing his own welding.
