No big deal, consumable product ending up in scrap yard before ya know it.

A bowtie in the center would look better than Chevrolet.
I've heard rumors they will have a new 6.6L gas & 6 speed auto or the Duramax with a 10 speed Allison.
Supposed to have significant payload and towing spec increases to compete better with Ford and Ram.
No word on for HP and torque specs.
I think the D-Max is supposed to be rated at 910 ft-lbs torque.

I wonder if that number has strings attached. A pickup rear end, drive shafts especially the U-joints transmissions that can handle that would be impressive.

I just, last week, talked to one of our Chevy dealers in Spokane about the 2020 Chevy HD. You can also do an internet search - "2020 Chevy HD" and get all the specs on that pickup.

For my part, Chevy, like Ford & Dodge have certainly hit a wall - - its called the pricing wall.

It has been rated at that number since 2017. I expect heavy torque management helps keep it together.

The student has surpassed the teacher?

In my day, it was up to the operator to maintain control...

Ain't that the truth--Been loosely looking at 2500's...All the mfg's are out of their collective minds.

If you want Value, look for 2-3 year old trucks with less then 20k miles. If you want Reliability (not necessarily - "it runs every day", but more like "failure is covered by warranty"), buy new.

HD trucks that pull/haul BIG loads with their high HP engines, need a LOT of air going in.

Big fronts is how they get it.

SR

How do race car get cooling? The front is Simply Frugly. I could go on , but why bother.
GM styling and design is lacking in many areas. Like not being able to see well out of their vehicles. I guess they are getting jump on cameras, radar and autonomous driving.
Now the good idea of bed and bumper inset steps are great, but the truck is sitting 3" too tall, period. If you need to go off road, offer factory lift kit, otherwise, make it so you don't need a stepladder to use the bed.
So between the front end, ride height and poor visibility, those are deal breakers. That might be a shame, because the rest of the truck could be fine.
