Keeper shearing results in valve drops and subsequent collateral damage, like broken crankcase cylinder walls and pistons and rods exiting the crankcase. The block heater would be part of the collateral damage.
If the op has no knowledge re how an engine functions and operates, he痴 going to have a pretty tough time arguing that the failure was a manufacturing defect.
Pictures, in detail, of the failed parts would help his case, but if all he has is a photo of the collateral damage, he isn稚 supporting his case very well.
