Yeah - I suppose underhood will be just about the same. As far as the bedstep - I did find one that fit. Think it a model of BedStep 2. I'm getting weary looking at all the tonneau covers available... I think I might wait for the tonneau until this summer. It so D**N cold outside now. And its not just the temps - its our humidity - 93% right now.

I'm beginning to figure out what SiriusXM has to do with the PW. Music, sports, comedy, news, traffic alerts, remote control of security system/remote security alerts... things I really don't need. Besides, it fairly expensive. I'll just have to wait and see. Just like Apple Play. Free subscriptions will give me a chance to evaluate.

Yeah - I can hear you guys now. He spends $58K and won't spring for $375 per year for the two systems. Well, first I have to deal with all the stuff that comes on the vehicle. Prior to trying to deal with new programs. Again - the free trial periods will give a good idea if they are really that important.

oosik,

Is this new Truck going to be your new home? Mighty Fancy.

I did find a picture of the rear - single exhaust - passengers side.

So - last night. Wading thru the 741 page Op Manual. Come to the section on LED bed lighting & controls. The options: on/off, strobe, strobe illumination level, # of lights on, overall illumination level, strobe rate. What is all this craziness - a carnival show. Why is anybody going to need the bed lighting to strobe.

Can you envision this - driving down the freeway at night. Accidentally tap the wrong icon on the digital touch screen. The bed lights begin strobing. Better find the OFF button - soon. LEO will have a serious talk to me about that.

And the section on control/adjustment of the audio system. Thank God my son will probably be able to help on this. You can make specific adjustments for the type of music being played and "save" the adjustments into memory. The audio system will default, automatically, to your settings when it plays that type of music.
When your radio plays rock - it auto defaults to your setting for rock music - same for country, jazz, etc, etc. How in the H**L does the radio recognize the music type - a lot of times I don't even know.

I'm gaining on the learning curve. The knife edge is still visible though.

I believe Bedstep 2 is a side-of-bed step, not the one at the rear under the corner of the bumper.

Right BedStep 2 is for the side. Still would be handy for those without running boards:

Good to hear about the exhaust. Makes things simple for your Bedstep.

Do you have a link to the manual you referenced? I'm pretty sure my truck only has on/off for the factory bed lighting. Curious if I'm missing something or if they changed something between 2017 and 2018.

Big Blue - I can check for a link. However, I FINALLY found an Op Manual that is specific to the 2018 PW.

OK. I'm just curious about it because it doesn't match my truck and doesn't even seem to make sense. Why would anyone want to blink or strobe the bed LED lights?

I believe MANY of these things are done just because they can, not for any need.

Yeah, but the bed steps as shown are actually useful. Especially for us "older" users.

As I get older the trucks keep getting higher. They still have the same ground clearance though.
