Update on RX6010 with low hours motor failure

**Final update**

Two valve seats let go causing the damage.

450 easy hours, motor replaced, no help what so ever from Kioti.....

Thanks for the feedback. I for one appreciate it.
There is near-zero clearance between the tops of the pistons and the valves so if a lose valve seat jammed a valve open that wold certainly ruin the day. Looking at the parts book, I don't see any valve seats so they must be an integral part of the factory head unless the head was repaired previously and new valve seats were pressed in. In any case, this is the only case I can recall where a valve seats came lose.

Good luck.

And thanks for all the support from so many people! Don稚 worry kids, my big boy pants are fully on. I just posted here so other people with know about this issue. Talk about things being not all unicorns and rainbows and I am somehow at fault or unrealistic, in light of how some people have gone to support the brand is indicative of how deeply many people inbide in their Kool-Aid.

And actually I could really give a flying F what your opinion is of me or how I handled the situation.

Enjoy your tractors and I hope you have better luck than I did.

Glad that you got it running again. Were the valve seats on the same cylinder?

VTDT, Thanks for the update on your motor. Having worked on cars, trucks and diesels for 10 years for a living and still doing all of my own repair work I can see where you were coming from. I've seen how the dealer world works and how they screwed people over when they could double dip on repair work and many other things. I feel for you with such a low hour machine. Fact is two valve seats just do not fall out unless there was a problem in the building of the cylinder head. I have seen valve seats fall out before and it is not a pretty sight. I'm glad you got your tractor fixed. I'm sorry to see the bashing that you took from people on this website who for some reason just needed someone to pick on for whatever reason. I guess thinking that we are all grown men here is not the case. I hope your tractor issues are over with. Even though you were out of warranty. I honestly believe that Kioti should have been interested to want to find out what had happened. If in fact it was faulty valve seat installation due to over size seat pockets or undersize valve seats then they should have covered your motor. That is my 02 cents worth. A defect is a defect. Hopefully this problem will not blossom into a lot more blown tractor motors caused by dropped valve seats.

Well, good thing it's repaired. Too bad kioti didn't help. When Kawasaki helped me out LONG after warranty with a crankshaft failure, after dismissing me, I pleaded my case to a higher authority. I didn't show anger toward them, nor indicate I expected anything of them, nor threatened them with social media. And they agreed to help.

When a valued customer asks you for help, help that will not cost you a lot, but speaks volumes about your ethics and sense of fairness, I think it's worth considering.

I am completely with you,..... per my post #!55.
In my opinion, Kioti should have offered you something.
Split the cost? Whatever?....but something meaningful as a gesture of goodwill for their brand.
They should know that many other tractor owners are watching.

Yes, thank you VTDT for the update on your costly tractor repair. May 2019 be a better year for you! :drink:

The OP is discharging the dealer of all and any responsibility! IMO it's the dealer's fault for not representing him properly. What serious business would dismiss a customer that bought several of their tractors is beyond me, unless Kioti's rep was an idiot or the dealer did not represent the customer's interests properly or there was serious abuse on the part of the owner. This is the scenario, but the OP was very stingy in providing facts and information, one can only surmise and that doesn't lead to the truth. The OP wanted a shoulder to cry on and sympathy for a situation that we knew nothing about save his claims. Valve seats don't fall off unless there is a reason, what this reason if it was found is unknown to us. Time to give it rest R.I.P. VTD.

Vtdt I'm personally glad you came on to let us guys and girls that have the same basic machines to be on the look out.
May not be able to stop it but maybe less damage if we here so ething wierd and get it shut off in time.
Can i ask the cost to get it back in the field?

For folks here who have pulled the head off your Kioti engine: Can you confirm if your head had pressed-in valve seats or if the valve seat is just machined into the head casting? Just wondering. As *I understand it, this RX6010 is a 4-cylinder engine with mechanical fuel injection, very much kike our CK and DK models. The answer may interest quite a few of us.

After reading your post closer I would trade that POS Kioti and buy John Deere or Kubota tractors as they are problem free.I hear they offer a warranty well beyond what one would expect.
