Update on RX6010 with low hours motor failure

/ Update on RX6010 with low hours motor failure #211
This is the at least the second time someone has claimed that Kioti looked at this tractor. Can you provide a link to where the OP said this? I can't seem to find this. At best I've found that Kioti rejected his claim. It seems one possible reason could be that it was out of warranty. Simple as that. I'd like to see where the OP explained that Kioti actually looked at the tractor.

Look up the OP's other closed thread. You'll find whatever else the OP has said to date.

21 pages in and the speculatin goes on. Funny!

When the OP disappears, clearly someone should be appointed to fill that position. Best, someone off the street with no prior knowledge or prejudcie.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good thread.

Well said!
A good thread is what I live for!

That's why I posted my question. I don't see anywhere (on this thread or the other) that the OP said the tractor was looked at by Kioti. If you can find that post would you mind pointing it to me. The OP only has 11 posts so it shouldn't be hard to find. If it's on this site I seem to have missed it. A number of folks have said it but I don't think the OP ever did.

Agreed. Seems we all need to find something better to do.

If folks didn't defend what they believe in, by looking for facts, where would that leave us?

I haven't seen any real facts. I've seen the beginning ( a brief description of a failure with no real details) and the end (denial of the claim without any detailed reason). I haven't seen the middle or any real information about who did what. OP was attacked from the Git-Go and felt no need to defend his position here to those who claimed they knew better than he did, even though none of them had any details either.

I just scanned them briefly. I don't see where OP stated a manufacturer's rep looked at the machine. I only see where they reviewed whatever the dealer sent in.

The OP wanted to destroy the manufacturer because of his out of warranty problem.
The OP did not want to discuss points of view.
He was mad therefore, in his eyes, he was right.

No. If the coolant level is low, the water pump sucks the coolant from the radiator via the lower radiator hose and pushes it through the block and into the cylinder head. The thermostat meters flow back into the radiator, but the water jacket in the head remains relatively full as long as the water pump is spinning.

As soon as the engine stops and the water pump stops spinning, the coolant returns to the radiator via the lower radiator hose, the bottom deck of the cylinder head becomes uncovered, and, with no coolant to transfer heat to, the valve bridge temperatures shoot up.

It痴 been a long time, but I think we even instrumented a head with thermocouples to confirm that the temperatures and subsequent insert expansion exceeded the materials hoop stress capabilities.

We repeated the test several times.

This wasn稚 a Mercedes engine, and I think the inserts were made by a Wisconsin company, one of only a few worldwide sources at the time. The materials were in common use by many engine manufacturers at the time, but we released a premium, albeit more expensive material (and fixed the radiator problem).

NEWS OF INTEREST!

A more recent thread here on TBN exemplifies a similar near meltdown at only 7 hours on a Kioti engine. This, thread has LOTS of details, clearly visible pics of the blown out freeze plug, and details of this being one of seemingly several other instances of block heater problems in other tractors as well. The other thread, which I will link to, is on a brand new engine, but all other details show what I said I believed to be the case in this thread from the get go: block heater blows out of block, coolant is lost, top end temp spikes to excessive and engine fails due to top end parts being scorched, and results in catastrophic failure. Only differences are this thread is based on failure AFTER warranty is no longer in effect. The newer thread is a current issue, and as yet the 7 hour old engine has not yet burned up, YET!

Note: the above thread link allows all participants from this thread see what having more information does for the 'final' diagnosis. Had the OP from this thread been more forthcoming we might have had a much easier time putting together a diagnosis of what actually happened. Also worthy of noting is that had we known about other block heater failures causing near or actual serious damage to very low hours on the tractor's in question, it would have pointed us to the conclusion I stated in this thread several times, block heater failure leads to eventual engine failure.

Yup: running with no coolant will cause dropped inserts. A failed block heater will get you there.

Unfortunately, warranties are contracts that incorporate time limits.
