I really like my 4310. Bought it new in 2004. But have been kicking myself since then for not getting the loader at that time. Bought a 300R FEL for it a week ago. Paid $5009 including tax, in Orleans, Indiana. I could not find a used one to fit this tractor anywhere within reasonable distance. They wanted another $185 to install it, so I decided to do it myself. I don't have a large shop, it took my son and me a good couple of hours to get it on, and had to use an electric winch in the attic. If you do this, you should understand fully how the thing works normally (on-off) so you know how it needs to go on. (Also edit: the hyd quick connectors on the 4310 will NOT take the tips from the 300R loader, at least the ones that came with the one they sent me. The quick connects are too small - 3/8 and need to be 1/2. So if you order this, tell the dealer you need 3/8 hoses, or you will need to replace the quick connects on the tractor (which is what i did). Since the guy told me it would fit, he compensated me with a filter pack, which was nice).
Also, I'll do more searching here, but I can't get the front lower axle drain plugs out. They are pretty much rounded inside at this point. One is recessed even, and so I can't get anything on it. I'll try to seat an allan tip in it and try to draw it out. The other one is exposed enough, I think, to get a vice grip on. But - if I can't get them out, instead of trying to drill them out or other means, can't I just crack the case, let the oil out, bolt it back up? I might need a new gasket, though?
