Sounds like you are talking about the weight bar that the latch plate secures to.. not the extension weight bracket LVA19212

The frame on both 4300 and 4310 are the same, and AM121848, it appears.

So puzzled what you might be missing. Hope you show us tomorrow.

No I didn't take any. Hoping the front plate on the 4300 the loader came off of will bolt on my 4310 and solve the problem.

Heading to the salvage yard I bought the loader from in the morning.

It will bolt right up. The 4300 and 4310 have the same bolt hole alignment. I swap FEL between my 4310 and 4400 all the time without problems. They are essentially the same tractor. Only difference is the 10 series went to the E-hydro and E-power reverser which basically states that there are now electronic solenoids controlling the shifting and such of the transmissions instead of mechanical means to some degree.

Only increasing the bore size a 1/4" over original. 430 loader comes with 2" bore cylinders and uses pretty much the same frame. I don't think it's an issue.

Just connected the loader this afternoon and it took less than a gallon to top the tractor back up.

Unfortunately the latch plate on this 420 loader won't connect to the front weight bracket on my 4310. Back to the junkyard in the morning.

A little goes a long way when boring cylinders. If you do the calculations it's about 7850 lb force produced from the 2" cylinder at 2500 psi, versus 9935 lbs on 2 1/4". Should be fine if your loader has shear bolts though.

So the weight bracket on the 4300 the loader came off of is the exact same as the one on my 4310. For some reason I cannot get it to roll onto the mounts so I can latch the front latch.

Yes, both are the same.. the frame as well as the weight bracket that bolts to the frame.. but the FEL latches onto the frame.

Picture pls. then we can prolly answer your dilemma.
We may be in a terminology lock-up.

I have to sometimes "tap" on my front plate to convince it to go flat up against the tractor's bumper frame. It is attached to pivot points that get dry and rusty.

Shear bolts?
Don't sound right. Please explain.

Raising and lowering should the loader should be all you need to get the catch plate to mount to the front bumper. Only time I ever had an issue was when I tried installing it on uneven terrain. At that time the loader kept wanting to slide on the rear mount. Also make sure the release lever on the loader itself isn't already in the locked position.

Let's please get off the increased cylinder bore discussion. I will do a thread on the upgrade later. No point in debating a simple change like this. The 420 loader came with 1-3/4" bore cylinders and the 430 loaders already had 2" bore cylinders. I simply increased the 420 loader to 2" bore cylinders. IT'S NO BIG DEAL!

Woops, I just took a look at my 460 loader, turns out they aren't shear bolts after all. I was thinking the small bolts that hold the pins in the bushings were shear bolts.
