I put a Bervac Blizzard B54 (54") snowblower on the back of a 23hp Montana tractor. Love the blower. Works flawlessly. No issues. I got the hydraulic shoot adjustment since the tractor had the auxiliary valve on the rear. 9 New England winters with no issues

wait till you get a 4 foot snowfall.. even less, how are your front tires rotating if the snow is half the diameter of your tires, interesting, on my tractor, they just dig into the snow, and create a pile of snow that makes it impossible to move.. maybe you have 4WD or chains on the front wheels?.. what's a Montana Tractor?..

Generally, with a rear snowblower one backs into the snow and blows it out of the way, then drives over bare ground (or close to it).
Montana was a brand of tractor, if beef had the Montana T2334, it had a Mitsubishi S3L 3 cylinder diesel engine on it.

This weekend was the first time using our blower. I ended up getting the 6' option as there was an ex-demo on offer. We just had something between 6" and 9" over the last couple of days, mostly on Friday night. Normally we wouldn't clear that sort of fall as both cars would manage the track OK, however driving through it does make a mess. Also I wanted to try the blower. Depth on the track varied from around 3" to about 18" depending the lie of the land.

So what I've found so far. Using normal Low reverse, a speed of 0.85mph, seems to work for almost everything. On occasions I the snow wasn't quite clearing fast enough, or in some cases the engine was labouring, in these cases I could lift the blower up a few inches and continue like that. When we get deeper snow I'll try the creeper gears as another option. In some cases, for example going back where I'm just cleaning up, I could go in reverse H at just under 4 mph, although that was a little fast. I'm also considering the option of putting the PTO into 1000 instead of 540, and running in H reverse at around 1,200 rpm. That would give a ground speed of around 2mph any might be a good compromise where I don't need full power.

I can sit sideways so I not looking right over my shoulder, and I can sit either way as well. It's something I did worry about a little but I think it's going to be OK.

I can and do sit sideways and looking rearward for hours at a time running pull type forage choppers and haybines so a couple of hours with a backblade or such isn't bad.
Beautiful country, looking at the rolling hills and farms my first thoughts wouldn't have been Scotland.

I think this was made for tractors with a swivel seat, and dual controls though..
