They’re a subsidiary of United Technologies ..... so probably just a small blip on their corporate radar.

Thos guys have been raping me for years in the security business.

I was thinking about the recall. Makes not a lick of sense to me for a product that should be replaced after a few short years.

I called Kidde this morning and was on hold for less than 5 minutes and total call time 23 minutes. The nice lady got my info on three extinguishers, all were recalled. She said I’ll receive the replacements in 15-20 business days.

Update:

My three replacements arrived about two weeks after I talked to Kidde on the phone.

Shipped recalled units back in same boxes, no cost.

Just checked the Kidde web site and the online form seems to have been taken off. We have three of the recalled extinguishers.

Guess I'll try the phone #.

Is the recall still going on? I thought the period ended over a year ago.

Makes not a lick of sense to me for a product that should be replaced after a few short years.

I filed for 3 under the recall, got 2 replacements. I didn't make a fuss over it for that exact reason.

My information was accepted on the online form today 6-11-19.

Got my replacement and now metal pull pin extinguisher today, shipping back the plastic pull pin extinguisher.

My information was accepted online on June 11, also, and I called on 6/19 to see what the status was, and the lady said I had to wait "20 business days", so I haven't heard from them.
