Why do you say God bless you when someone sneezes?

One of the symptoms of the plague was coughing and sneezing, and it is believed that Pope Gregory I (Gregory the Great) suggested saying God bless you after a person sneezed in hopes that this prayer would protect them from an otherwise certain death. The expression may have also originated from superstition.

That is a dead ringer of an explanation.. another interesting origin of a saying

What gets me is when the checker and the person in front of me apparently ARE long lost friends and every item that gets checked comes along with the history of what young Sally, or Timmy, or Cousin Billy has been doing, etc. etc. etc....

Ask the cashier for recommendation of a better line to be in. Then follow up with the manager.

Stopping 'like' is like so easy, you just like start counting like outloud until they like stop in their tracks. They like look at you like they are like having a stroke. It's like amazing how like amazing it like takes for them to realize how like stupid they sound (LOL). OMG it's like so california ! If your count gets above 10 and they are still going, time to walk away. They are like part of the 50% below average citizen collective probably like from FacePlant or Tweeter.

Then there is the "I don't know nothin" reply from a idiot. Try a retort on that low bandwidth deadhead after you find them going threw your stuff. Something like "So, you know something, eh "?

One of my favourites has always been this one.

Little Johnny says to the teacher, "I ain't got no pencil".
The teachers says, "No, it is I do not have a pencil, you do not have a pencil, we do not have any pencils and they do not have any pencils. Is that clear"?
