That's a hockey term.

I don't really care. What matters to me is how much it costs to get the item to my door. I read alot :)D), and for a while was buying books on Amazon. They often were one cent for the book, and $3.99 for shipping. Should it matter to me how my money is divided up?
Now I have found a used book store about 50 miles from here with a broad selection of any genre and exceptionally reasonable prices, so every time I drive through there I pickup about 1/2 dozen books. :thumbsup:

I hate pithy phrases. In a conversation with my cousin one night he must have said "it is what it is" at least a dozen times. By the time I got off the phone I was ready to scream.

That one bugs me too, along with, "what ever"

After reading my previous post again, it appears that I need to learn the difference between "pickup" and "pick up." :eek:
i.e.;
Playing basketball in that pickup game allowed me to pick up some valuable pointers.

"See ya latter" is a very frequent farewell expression down here. A South African friend was told this when she first arrived and was touring around the country. As she was walking back to her car she was thinking WTF I'm on my way and I'm never coming back here.

The proper answer to "see you later" is "not if I see you first" that usually gets them to thinking about their own safety. :)

he said as he drove home in his pickup.

I was going to edit that comment because I knew that I was being obtuse. Somebody had already quoted me however, so I had to go with the flow.

I haven't read all the replies and I'm sure it was mentioned before, however, people who say "know what I mean" after each statement.
I'll never forget this fellow from the propane company who was here years ago performing a leak down test. Everything he said ended with "wise".
"It's like this-wise. We made sure all of your pilots were turned off-wise, put a guage-wise on the line then checked it today-wise. Everything must be fine-wise since there was no pressure drop-wise".
Craziest thing I ever heard (wise).
