Well a $12 item with “free” shipping beats a $10 item with $5 shipping. I guess you can add that to the same pile as 0 percent financing.

Of course it did. You must have missed the point of that post. I’d rather know what price I’m paying at first glance vs having to fill out an order forum to figure out how much shipping is going to be.

The one that really irks me in that regard is Rock Auto. Apparently, not all items are stocked in every warehouse. Never seems to fail, if I order multiple items they come from at least 2 different warehouses, with separate shipping charges for each.
I suppose it makes business sense, but their shipping charges eat up any savings fast.

The one that irks me, is if I say "Thank you", they return with "No problem". They're basically saying that you didn't put them out very much; I would much rather hear "You're welcome". Not that it matters a whole **** of a lot, but I guess maybe people are getting away from what I consider tradition.

Do they offer a choice? Others, ie Amazon, let you decide if you want everything shipped together (slower but cheaper) or shipped separately (faster but extra fees).

I don't really care. What matters to me is how much it costs to get the item to my door. I read alot D), and for a while was buying books on Amazon. They often were one cent for the book, and $3.99 for shipping. Should it matter to me how my money is divided up?
Now I have found a used book store about 50 miles from here with a broad selection of any genre and exceptionally reasonable prices, so every time I drive through there I pickup about 1/2 dozen books. :thumbsup:

I hate pithy phrases. In a conversation with my cousin one night he must have said "it is what it is" at least a dozen times. By the time I got off the phone I was ready to scream.
