Richard you come too please, that is if you like beer:licking:

Regards, Fred
I'd take you up on that accept I have nothing to "***** about" my tractor. I really liked my former L4200 GST and now love my new L5060 GST. :D

The place I ordered the bolts from doesn't have them in stock so it'll be at least a week before they send them to me. The "crack" is just the paint pealing off. I'm not going to mess with that wheel until the bolts come in but I'll take pictures. I did remove the bad wheel so I could remove the broken stud. With a snow storm coming and being cold I didn't messing around taking pictures. Since I'm doing this alone it's a job to remove the wheels so I'm really hoping for a one more time and done. Thank god they aren't filled. It might be two weeks but I'll take pictures when I do it. Unfortunately the good wheel is very close to a cement wall when it's parked. To get that picture it took me 3 or 4 attempts of sticking my hand down there. Right now I have all six bolts on both wheels and the belleville washers on the studs on the bad wheel.

Crazyal -- I thought you said that the photo in post #2 was the better of the two wheels ? That indicated to me that BOTH wheels were bad. No ?

I can appreciate your adverse weather up there ! I was at Stowe on Feb 2 and it was 9 below zero when I started the car. Two days later it was above freezing by day and fear of ice that night. Do what you gotta do and us interested bystanders will wait until you can give us fresh info and views. Good luck with it.

Both wheels are moving. The better of the two, I've been calling good, hasn't had the bolts/ nuts loosen up and the movement is very minimal. The other wheel (the bad wheel) the holes for the bolts are now oblong. Each time I use the tractor the bad wheel's bolts are loosening up, not to the point where they are actually loose but loose to the point where when I put the torque wrench on them it moves before it clicks.

When I removed the bad wheel disk what I found is that the wheel where the lock ring makes contact is wearing the steel away. I'm going to replace this disk. Last night I spent about 2 hours on the tractor snow blowing. Normally the bolts would have been pretty loose but the day before I installed the larger washers. Nothing loosened up and there's no signs that the wheel moved. I'm going to wait to replace it to see if adding a washer between the lock washer and disk fixes the problem. Right now I'm cautiously optimistic that it will.

I'm going to but before I do I want to solve the problem. They shouldn't be moving when properly torqued down. As long as they are the disks will wear.

I beat mine silly blowing and plowing snow on glare ice, I have loaded rears and chains on all four. Have not had any loose wheel issues.

Once the wheel loosens and oblongs the holes it will be hard to keep tight.

Come down Saturday for lunch I'll introduce you to the Kioti dealer lol.

It is the clamping force of tight bolts that prevents all motion and wear. NOT the shape or size of the holes. As long as the clamped surfaces mate well and the clamping force is sufficient there will be no motion or wear. Even the very small clearance of snug holes would allow enough motion to wear out the assembly if clamping did not effectively "freeze" the joint.

When I bought it I looked at Kioti (along with NH and Deere) and their tractors didn't offer the features of the Kubota. The local dealer at the time had never seen a front mount snow blower and the pictures really looked like they had no clue what they were doing. That dealer is gone and the new dealer is much better and Kioti has stepped up it's game. But unless they offered the 2 speed hydraulic motor for the hydrostat I'm not interested. I rarely shift out of M but I'm always going between slow and fast. At night or when looking back I know where the lever is and can just flick it without looking.
