Anyone using Google Chrome with TBN on their laptop or PC, using Adblock Plus?
I have it installed and running for a while. It was doing a bang up job of keeping TBN's pages header clear of annoying ads, now it's again full of ads related to what the topic is that I'm reading on TBN. Anyone have a clue to how to get it working to eliminate the ads again?
Any help appreciated.

TIA,
CM

Create a TBN site that requires “members” to pay for use of the site- read sarcasm as that model doesn’t work. Seems this thread is seeking to eliminate one of TBN’s revenue streams- probably not the best place for this......

Serious question- how and who pays for the costs associated with keeping TBN going? I know their are a few “small” sponsors EA, Everlast and I believe a few others but that can’t be all of it.

I'm running Mojave on an Apple computer. I use Safari, Opera or Firefox. All three are downloaded on my Apple. I run AdBlockPlus on all three. Works fine. I had Google Chrome. Dumped it because I didn't like the way it was working with Mojave.

The way I would do it. Simply choose and download another browser and instal ABP on it.

For me, multiple browsers are handy. Working on something on Safari - need to look something up. Open one of the other browsers and get the info I need brought up on the second browser.

I have Google chrome and run Adblock Plus and also Adblock. Been working great for years.

I recall some reading where one is better for videos and the other is more for everything else.

I am using Chrome on my laptop and I don't have any problem with popup ads.

I am running it on Windows 10 Professional and use their PopUp Blocker and it seems to work very well.

I'm not using an apple product, and am dealing with banner ads at the top of each thread page before the actual posts as one reads down the page. TBN's revenue stream is not my issue- it's theirs. I don't watch or listen to TV ads, I don't want to have to have ads in threads I read and or write in, either.
If TBN wants to institute pay for subscription- bring it on.

I am looking for a way to get Adblock Plus to kill the banner/header ads now present on my Chrome browser. Anyone with knowledge to do so please check in.

Thanks,

CM

I find them annoying but a small price to pay for using the site. Perhaps we should get everything for free, do away with free enterprise and let the government take care of us? There are sites where I know longer visit because of their web policies; actually, this is the only place that I still go to on a regular basis.
If Muhammed wants to get paid for making this such a great place, more power to him.

Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm not a Mac guy. Doesn't Safari have tabs where you can have multiple pages open at the same time? I thought every browser did.

As far as multiple browsers go, still nice to have since not all web pages play nicely with every browser.

Multiple tabs or multiple windows or both. I have about 10 windows with multiple tabs open at any given time. Recent versions of Safari are real good about managing memory and CPU use so there's very low penalty to doing it.

Yes - of course, Safari has multiple tab, multiple window. It's just my "unique" way of doing things. I've done it like s219 and I can get "lost".

My method favors persistence over speed. Holy Faruke - my son does it like s219 and I have trouble following his "path". At a certain point I'm no longer multi-tasking - I'm fragmented.

I've simply found a way that works for me.
