Best option for solid front wheels for ZTR?

The rubber tires are about $40 each. Foam filling was about $40 each. I don’t know how much rims are but that’s a pretty expensive solution. I don’t need my mower now so if I get on it now the loss of the wheels won’t be a problem. Really I probably could have borrowed the front wheels from my Dixie chopper and used on the Grasshopper while the GH wheels were being filled.

Yes, I suppose so. But you did say in your first post that you were willing to pay $210 to fix the issue...I guess it would come down to the price of rims or finding a set of used rims somewhere.

But the twheels look cooler and have some give so I would pay more for that option.

The front wheels on my ZTRs have been constant trouble for years. Between cutting several of them and leakage theyæ±*e always flat. I致e looked at tractor supply for solid wheels and I haven稚 found anything that値l fit. Most of the options had crappy bearing anyway. Yesterday at the NFMS I saw a Grasshopper with Tweels on the front. The Grasshopper rep said they were $110 each and that was a price I was willing to pay to end my problems, but he said I would have to order through a local dealer. The local dealer wanted $190 each and I知 not paying that. I saw this on northern tool which looks promising but I値l have to measure mine first. Has anyone found any other good options? Sounds like a good idea on the Tweels.......Try before you buy is what I'd do. I bought the Hustler soft front yoke for 2 ZTS and even marked the moving and non moving areas to see how much they helped....wast of the $400. Bought solid idler fronts for another and like driving on boulders. Best thing I have found is to put belt dressing (like in V or Flat belts between the tire and rim and when the tires get old and the rubber looses it's plasticizers get new ones......or add tubes......if somebody else gets the tube and the tire mounted.....and then go ahead and run your 8 psig!
