absolutely agree with that for the most part. I've done it myself, something stupid that is. Tomorrow is a new day full of new opportunities too! :laughing:
I just found it somewhat curious that the 'naysayers' were different brand owners. Not knocking the orange or green, as I have in times past either owned or operated both for extended periods. Maybe it's just me, but I actually DON'T go to the other brands threads. I'm sure there are decades of experience there to add to my decades of experience. Just doesn't interest me to go peruse the orange and green threads. Not ALL those folks, but some are clearly tractor snobs who look down at each other based on size (in their own brands) or color if it happens to be a different one. Now throw in a cheaper one too....and well....

I'm just sitting at my breakfast table looking at my smart phone and it alerted me that this thread was trending. I dont even know what an LS brand is. I've got service manuals for MF and mahindra. Both are red. My green tractor is just over 1 year old and is not perfect and the deer dudes weren't much help when our baler broke. We had to diagnose and ID the right part after buying the wrong one. The guy that works on zero turns at JD is top notch. The rest just do the best they can. I imagine there's a lot of collaboration at the shop before they get it fixed.

What's funny is when the orange guys attack each other. I read most threads here more or less out of boredom. Some are more general even though they're in a brand thread.

So . . . looks like one of us did hit something. Just after that silver scrap there's a noticeable bend.

We have Kubotas, but I have driven machines made by Kubota, Deere, Cat, LS, Kioti, Case, Massey, NH, Bolens, Cub Cadet, Huskavarna and eXmark. They are all similar, they all break eventually and the guys at the dealer are all recruited from the same pool of mechanics.
The warranties are also all similar, the competence of the dealer will depend on their mechanics, what is covered (vs being classed as "abuse") will depend on how much pull the dealer has with their area rep, how much they want to push for you, how you broke it and if your story matches the way that it looks like it broke.
The LS dealer that we bought a tractor from at work was pretty good on the mechanical side (other than selling us a tractor that was more than 1000# overweight on the front axle with the blade that they mounted on the loader, it should have come with a weight box on the back), but they were lost on the computer side for complicated stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised if your Dealer didn't say something like, 'sucks to be you' and wishes you luck. Maybe you can work outside the Dealer for a solution that does't cost you an arm and a leg and will allow you to get your Tractor up and running in hours rather than days or weeks.
1. I don't want to be in the same Zip Code when your Wife sees that bar on her tile floor.
2. I don't see why you can't find a track bar, drag link, steering bar or whatever they want to call it from a supplier along with the appropriate sleeves and thread your tie rod ends into it.
I would think a suspension shop in the area should be able to hook you up. Hopefully.
I'm just wondering, just asking. I don't know from applebutter but keep us informed.

1. No wife, cheap roll out linoleum in my office.
2. Just emailed the dealer with the pic, and waiting to see what they say. As they dropped the ball on properly installing my 3rd function, and I didn't try to get one over on them, I'm hoping they will go above what is minimally required.
