Longest Original Tractor Battery Life?

I know this one is going to be hard to believe but the original battery in our sons CaseIh 5140 was changed out 2 years ago, that's about 26 years. His grandfather bought the tractor new so we have all the records on it. The new one is junk.

That’s excellent! I have one here that seems to be going strong at 17 years. So far this has been the longest any have lasted for me.

To the OP, thanks for starting this cursed thread. I was going to comment about the 12 year old battery in my New Holland last week, but decided not to. I figured it would be the death of my battery. Well I guess just thinking about it was enough. New battery and ground cable yesterday.

Well now you guys got me thinking.... I ran my battery down pretty quickly trying to start my 2013 Kubota in very cold weather. I was going to replace it but now I'm thinking maybe I should service it and try a charge.

If garden tractors count, I got 11 out of the die hard that came new in my 1999. As far as tractors, the battery in my Bolens/Iseki is at least 8 based on the label style, but I can't read the date on the battery.

They must have put good batteries in the B7500. Replaced mine 2 years ago. The original one was 14 years old. Never had a car battery last any where near that long.

I know that mine isn't going make the grade. It's a 2015 and I have to boost it any time the weather gets down around 0' (F).

Then again I bought the tractor used in 2017, so who knows how the previous owner took care of it.

Perhaps it was the original battery in his 1994 L185, and he swapped them out before he traded.

I知 on 7 years with original battery on my Massey 1529. No issues yet.
