Planning to get a new Yanmar 2610D and 5 foot rotary cutter from Fredericks next month. I知 upgrading from a garden tractor.

Know I壇 like and use the FEL but will probably not get it to start with. Will probably get later. Local dealer says the price on the loader will be the same either way. Just hate to add the money for what would essentially be a useful toy at this point.

Planning to immediately get the wheel spacers from Hoye and load the tires for stability.

Any thoughts, suggestions as I move into this upgrade in tractor size/utility?

Thanks. Jbo

I would get the loader right away, there are just so many uses once you have it. If not get the dealer to give you a written guarantee on the price of the FEL with installation - bet he won't. It may cost him more next year.

Also make sure the spacers dont void the warranty. If they aren’t installed by the dealer and accepted by Yanmar they might not be.

+2 for the loader.

I agree on the loader 100%. I just don稚 need to spend the additional money right now(and I have a carryall on my garden tractor).

Yes, he may have a price increase. Didn稚 mean to suggest that he wouldn稚 pass that along.

I have a side business, so would just get the FEL as soon as I have a true need for it. Then the job can pay for it instead of me. :)

And I値l check on the wheel spacer-warranty question. That痴 a good point. I wish Fredericks had some so I could just get from them.

I have a pretty hilly property so I want any stability advantage I can get.

Is this a new tractor or one if the old reconditioned tractors? That is an old tractor number unless there reuseing them again? And I don't think the spacers will void a warranty but yes check.

And what's with the weird characters in this post, why is "new" written the way it is in the name of the post?

It痴 a reconditioned older model. I had put new in quotes. That must have something to do with the funky characters. Maybe the forum doesn稚 like my iPhone.

I just got off the phone with Fredricks and they didn稚 think the spacers were necessary but when pressed said they wouldn稚 effect the warranty.

Pretty sure this is an 80's model tractor, so I'd be surprised if Yanmar warranties it.

Fredricks reconditions have a year long headlight to drawbar warranty.

Get the loader. After the first week you'll say 'Why didn't I get one long ago?' They really are that useful.
